I accept your comments Steve, maybe I should have included in my post that it would have to be a meeting that was attractive enough that it is unlikely to lose money. May just have to wait for the crowds to improve, and go to the Swindon away meetings at Coventry and Birmingham, or Poole or Somerset in the weeks we do not have a meeting.

Tonight we have no meeting and the last one was Monday April 8th. The next home meeting is April 25th. What a waste of a thursday with fine weather. We also have blank reserved dates each month. Now I know that after last years diabolical weather it was decided to have these reserved dates in case matches were rained off this year, but would it not be possible to fit in a challenge match, subject to rider availability, if this reserved date is not required. One I can think of is the rerunning of the cancelled Swindon v British Lions before the 2013 World Cup starts. It may even be possible for Neil to give British riders a run out against other clubs on their reserved nights. Presumably he has a squad in mind and subject to enough riders from that squad being available would it be possible to arrange a meeting.. On Swindons reserved dates tonight, in May and June no other EL meetings are being run.

Good scores tonight from Ashley 11+1 from 5 as Scunthorpe beat Sheffield, Nick 8+2 from 4, Jason 12 from 4 as Somerset beat Ipswich.
-
Ashley not available thurs but Kyle Newman or Kyle Howarth are, no idea who would be used for Nick on Friday.

Live sports schedule, sky used to have a page that is still on my pull down screens, but this now shows sports on sky- day by day, but it does not show speedway. I used to look at this inorder to plan what day to go to the pub to watch it. Have found speedway live schedule on sky sports news. -

Sky are not even showing that EL is being shown on wednesday in there sports on sky schedule page. -
Tonights meeting Swindon v British Lions has been called off. This is due to the awful weather forecast for this evening. This is a great shame as the Swindon team will not have ridden together before our meeting with Poole next week, and Chris Harris has an article in the local paper stating that the Brits need to have meetings and a session like Denmark had the other week at Kings Lynn where they had a three day session on track.

KKS said on twitter that it was on CBBC. -
Have just seen that.

Should be a good meeting and the first opportunity to see the whole Robins team. Do not think I have seen Kacper before and it would be good to see how he and Ashley perform against Kyle Howarth, Josh Auty and Craig Cook.

Scotty will be back next thurs, so we will be able to see if he repeats last nights performance.

Bikes did sound quieter than last year, or it may have been memories of the noise level of 2011. Most races a bit processional, then came heat 15, the best of the night with NKI and N Pedersen continually passing each other. Hans, Mads, Scotty and NKI all raced well and Hans was unlucky to get pushed out on the first bend in the final. Now waiting for the turn out of the whole team next week against the Brits.
