  1. We have a couple of matches in hand over Poole, but we have to start winning again and not continue the run we have had, two wins and five losses in the last seven meetings.
  2. Coombdog the Steam Railway show all speedway Sky and Eurosport. Will be there wed and sat, along with a few regulars. Re run of GP semi cancelled so Killer and Eddie will have to wait and see when rerun
  3. Well done Hans and Troy, will now have to wait until tomorrow to see if Killer and Eddie get through as tonights meeting started but was then rained off. We have to be on form the next couple of weeks as we have some tough meetings coming up with KL away on wed then at home on thurs followed by other top teams in July.
  4. I thought I heard the same as noggin and posted a comment on another teams thread who were suggesting they sign him up, think it was Peterborough. What I have been surprised at, unless there have been meeting clashes, is that we have not used him when Ashley was not available for away meetings. His scores have been very impressive, and he is likely to soon have an average higher than Ashley, in which case we will not be able to use him.
  5. Slight change in the discussion Sky tonight mentioned that as well as the next meeting KL -Swindon Wed June 26th, the week after they are showing Birmingham -Swindon on Wed July 3rd. May have to go to the Birmingham meeting on the 3rd as we have another gap on the 4th and then 18th of July unless we can fit in previously rained off meetings.
  6. Where have the posts gone? Did any others post on this thread after the GP sat night, as I know I did. Now the posts stop at 2.45pm sat, end of page 18, and page 19 starts this morning at 5.17am.
  7. A very good meeting to watch, plenty of overtaking and close racing. Well done J Hampel, C Holder and especially Tai. Was surprised that Emil, KK and NKI did not get through the semi's. With Darcy probably back for the next one the series can only get better.
  8. Agree with all above, brilliant performance tonight carrying that injury. The whole group watching in the pub was shouting for him in his last few heats, semi and final.
  9. I needed some printing done and used a Company in the midlands as they had the quickest turn round and was only beaten on price by one other. I sent the computer file in the morning, and received a tracking number that afternoon. That afternoon they were printed in Germany, taken to the airport and flow to the uk and were delivered to me the next morning at about 10am. The delivery was quicker and price cheaper that a company in the town where I live. I rang the company to thank them and asked how they managed to deliver so fast, and what they do is have printing contacts all over Europe and send the order to whichever company is doing a print run of similar type documents. These days printing can be done anywhere.
  10. What was awful about tonight was the lack of information given out from 6pm while watching GP bikes and then crashes. A few left the pub and went home. Also could they not have shown the first few races on a delay and then caught up with the live coverage.
  11. He certainly proved that tonight He won his first race, and managed to get passed Watt in heat 19, but was not that outstanding in the rest of the meeting. The part of the meeting that was shown was not very exciting until after heat 15, then it perked up a bit.
  12. iris123 hopefully this will be a good meeting and as you say if it is good from the start it may help attendances. It is a great pity that GB is not in it, although with the best Brit out injured and the clash with other meetings where would we have ended up.
  13. Ticketmaster have been mentioned on television in the past for their crap service. If people sending emails of complaint copied them to Monster and BSI, who may have no idea how bad this organisation is., some action may be taken. The answer is to purchase tickets from anybody other than Ticketmaster.
  14. Thought racing was boring and processional for many of the races but this was probably due to the state of the track. The track was awful and the bumps in it led to the accidents and lack of overtaking in many heats. When the riders went back to the pits after the race the tv showed the bikes jumping about. There were a few good races, Sophie was very good, as was Scott with his explanation about the adjustments they can make to the bike, and general comments. There may be quite a few that do not return to Cardiff in 2014 after the shambles of the track.
  15. There were two or three great races at Swindon with Phil Crump being the holder or contender.
  16. They should have got Nicki Pedersens pit crew to get out on the track with the fan he uses during the meeting to keep cool.
  17. Put the drink in a flask and tell them its tea, thats what I have done. Had no problem with taking in food. Do not know what rules they try to apply, may be I was just lucky and did not get some little Hitler checking things.
  18. The Swindon people just test the start gear and are on standby in case the start tapes give trouble. It may still be the case that the start equipment is that used at Swindon, as I am sure it was taken to Cardiff for the GP one year.
  19. Spoke to a couple of people tonight and found the following information. As Berti said Swindon provide the start gate staff, they also man the gates to the track and they man the pits entrance onto the track. It is believed that ex Newport staff provide the red flag holders on the centre green. The track graders for the meeting come with Ole from Denmark.
  20. Other jobs are done by Swindon, I know the person who grades the track at Swindon goes down for a few days, but not sure if he drives the grader during the meeting. Not sure about centre green flags etc. Newport used to supply the red flag staff. Will ask tonight who does what.
  21. Watch out for the locals though, especially those with aussie accents.
  22. Woffy £100 more Safutdinov £50 more Holder £ 50 more Harris £50 less
