Poole V Swindon 30 September 2013 Second Leg
A ORLOV replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Dissapointed with the performance of some of the Swindon riders. Peter and Nick put in good performances and the injury to Hans did not help, but on the night Poole were a better team, wanted to win, and deserved to get through to the final. Will watch the finals and then the last meeting at Swindon this year the ELRC on the 19th Oct and the GP this sat. -

She may be the passenger, or with the bouncing, on a pogo stick. -
Another drawn out boring meeting, a couple of good races but that was it. I appreciate it did not help having Tai, Emil and Greg not riding but previous rounds were also not too good, maybe a change in venues is part of the answer. They will have to change things for next year to get people to watch it. The commentators mentioned that any one getting a max received 1 million euros. What was the prize money for the meeting and championship. A very good pay night for Martin.

Was concerned seeing Hans holding his wrist or hand, but as he rode in the final I just hope he is ok for tomorrow. -

Weather now looking better for Poole, but will check lunchtime mon, if free, before deciding to pop down for this. Could do with a nice lunch on the harbour front, pop into the George then see what should be a decent meeting -

If you are quick, send in a question to Question Time and get it discussed nationally. -
If the EL has a problem with missing riders show more PL meetings, quite often the ones they have shown have been better than the EL. Share the money between more clubs.

The for If there is a possibility of rain at Poole I am sure Rosco would be happy to hold the meeting at Swindon On Swindon website Rosco states that the Robins are going to Poole and attack from the start, they want to win the meeting on the night and not just sit on the lead we have. -
Exactly, this has been the problem each time the team limit has been reduced. Riders improve their average because of the weaker league and possibly put themselves out of a job. The increase in rider average could be dealt with if more teams join the EL and the top average riders can be spread around, but this is where the supporters get fed up with their team changing every year.

You hope -
That level will probably mean most teams getting rid of one of the top two riders and bringing in a 3 point reserve

Very good meeting, some great riding by Darcy at the start, but the Robins showed their strength in depth. Lewis only scored two points but his holding up of Darcy in heat 11, planned or it happened by chance was a good move. Troys last bend pass on Janowski was magic and increased the lead to take to Poole. Lewis is likely to ride at Poole next monday as is Nick who had a bad fall in heat 14. Well done all the Swindon riders. Going to watch the repeat on Sky.
