  1. For those wanting to listen click on to section 11.00 11.30 Well worth listening to, Tai and the interviewers were very good.
  2. Could not agree more HA, many of them have been very short sighted and even warning signs a few of years ago were ignored. Also I do not understand the need for all these controlling bodies, maybe they are needed, but they do seem to take a lot of money out of the sport, and cause conflicts.
  3. Reported on the website that Ashley Birks was awarded the Bob Kilby award.
  4. Rider of the year 1st Peter Kildemand, no surprise there 2nd Troy Batchelor 3rd Nick Morris
  5. Is he a new supplier of hot dogs, he may give you a job..
  6. The clerk of the course and speedway staff wanted to dig a trench between the two tracks 20 years ago but the owners of the stadium refused permission. When the new stadium is built hopefully some one will think of this and put drainage in when constructed.
  7. That will be interesting if there is only one league . Will have to wait and see what the brains at the agm come up with re leagues, d/u rules and team limits as it would be great to keep some of this years team and include Jason.
  8. Somersets celebration open top bus tour was mentioned on the lunch time news, BBC west, It may be worth watching tonight as they may show it at 6.30.
  9. Agree topaz, excellent service and used most evenings live or catching up after being out. Thanks Sue, all texters and updaters.
  10. It was reported today that BT Sport already has 2 million customers signed up.
  11. I have seen Woofinden's gate and below the sign Beware of the dog there is another one Beware of Hougaard Racing Fans.
  12. Sorry to post on both threads but you may only be reading this one.
  13. The Rebels are being shown on BBC West news between now and 7pm. Well done to whoever got this exposure. It was a good piece which showed a bit of the racing and the celebrations having received the cup.
  14. If you look at GSI website it states that its properties include The International rights to the Elite League, along with others You ought to take a look at The Edinburgh Website and others
  15. I accept your point but would rather see them than nothing at all, as not many clubs show races on their sites.
  16. Congratulations Somerset, by the sound of it the meeting finished as the weather got really bad.
  17. With all the rain forecast the track and carpark could be like a lake by mon am and unless it drains very fast would probably still be wet throughout tues. This foreign forecast shows rain till early tues, the BBC rain till 3pm tues, but the forecasts keep changing. Wed night if available looks the best bet, just hope they make a decision early tomorrow.
  18. In an EL meeting there are 84 points available to calculate the average for 14 riders as heat 15 is not counted. If all the teams draw all their meetings each team has 42 points to calculate the riders average. If the limit is dropped to 36 then each year riders who do well put themselves out of a job and teams get wrecked to get to the next years limit. We want British riders to do well but if they improve they risk not being included the following year. Inorder to save money they should not reduce the team limit but reduce the payment per point and riders costs or reduce the number of riders per team. Riders can then decide if they want to ride for lower pay or not.
  19. Website states that food and bars are open from 5.30 for this meeting. Just need to keep an eye on the weather.
  20. The weather forecast for monday keeps changing all the time but at the moment it is not very good in the Highbridge area with rain predicted all day. Tues looks better.
