Selling today only, for £10

What a court would throw out is when a rider has finished riding his contracted period and the club will not allow him to ride for another club until that club pays them for the rider or a loan fee.
-
The only trouble there Skidder is that they do not shut out much noise and are virtually useless. It is just a sop to please the planners and the house purchasers. The M4 in the south of Swindon has a noise barrier in parts but many areas in Swindon can hear the road noise. The only part you cannot hear is where the M4 is down in a hollow and the noise bund directs the noise upwards.

Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2024
A ORLOV replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
This season Pearsons blunders have been the highlights of some of the meetings shown. There were a few good ones but the majority were awful. -
Said a while ago the riders are worth virtually nothing as they can decide to stop riding or just ride abroad or pack the sport in due to an injury. So the value is a couple of tractors etc and the shale on the track plus a bit of goodwill for the clubs name. The only other value would be if the club owned its track or a minor amount if leased. I can see if one club wishes to pay another for the use of a rider they had trained up then fine but they do not have an "asset".

A few years ago we could hire a minibus 13 or 17 seater for about £90, now it is way above that.
-
Swindon has tried hiring a minibus this season but very few hire companies now have them and the prices for the few that do have them have gone through the roof so the supporters club did not bother.
-
They can be as I understand they are a building of historic interest.
-
More like 40 would not be a shock.
-
Agreed, do not give a toss about the stands or back straight bog or the bloody awful food for sale.
-
Swindon have got a track in 2019, it is just that it may be the existing one rather than a new one
-
That will be about 4 points too many, you should know by now that the bspa cock up the team limits and weaken the league most years
-
That is often the usual result of many of the bspa's ideas.
-
Which I think would be the case but then where are all the dogs kept or inspected, you cannot have one barn for both, the plans are as questionable as previous ones appeared to be.
-
But it did end up like a dogs dinner.
-
But will they be allowed to or are we continuing with the screw up of fixed race nights
-
I feel the same and would rather see a slightly lower level of riders but with many more teams that only race once a season home and away rather than the same team and guests week in week out, and racing every one or two weeks without long gaps.
-
The track is in the same place and position as now but will be shortened by about 15 or 20 mtr which will be taken off the present bend 1 and 2 end. As you look at the plan the stand and pits is where the present stand is between bend 1 and 4, ie the main straight and the pits will be near bend 1. To get into the stadium you will come off the same road as now but turn into the where the present pit entrance is, walk or drive past bends 3 and 4 to the entrance into the stadium which will be on its southern side.
-
Hopefully it will not drop low enough to not have those riders, if it does then it will be the end of the sport unless the entry price is about £10. I can see the likes of J Doyle and R Lambert not riding here due to an average that is too high and I would also think reduced points money, but most of the rest yes.
-
Definitely no FIM events, the reduced spectator limit will put paid to that.
-
I recall a few clubs including Somerset and Poole had problems with their track surface after having to get a new supplier. There could have been a few Championship and NL clubs as well that had the same problems.
-
So where is the area for all the speedway equipment then, or the kennels etc. These plans look to be like many of the others there have been with lack of detail.
-
I have just called it up ok, but cannot copy the plan across. https://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/files/1AABB0678BAA6552E3AC71A341BBD5CB/pdf/S_RES_18_0027-PROPOSED_SITE_LAYOUT-697013.pdf Try looking at Swindon Stadium planning application.

Revised stadium layout, dated 18 Oct 2018. Big question here is there does not seem to be any areas for the greyhounds, either kennels or area where they are checked before they run, unless that is what the "compound" is for, in which case where is all the speedway machinery kept, ie tractors, graders etc. So is this yet another load of bs. https://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/files/1AABB0678BAA6552E3AC71A341BBD5CB/pdf/S_RES_18_0027-PROPOSED_SITE_LAYOUT-697013.pdf

The 2017 season was one of the worst with all the recalls due to false starts etc, 2018 was not as bad and some meetings did finish within 2 hours but others went on and on, and Blunsdon can sometimes be very cold.
