The showing of speedway works both ways on attendance levels. If your team was on tv and they are either not doing well, have awful opposition visiting or there is a possibility of a rain off, some people will stay at home and watch it. Others who used to go to speedway or just happen to come across it on the box could be tempted to visit their local track, but only if what they have seen is exciting and not a long drawn out meeting.

It was mentioned that a few Rugby players have also had visa issues and cannot now play here for the season.

Which Rider Is On The Best Value Average

One manager hinted that it had not been finalised -
I would think yes as they would probably be given a temporary visa that visiting sports teams apply for.

Australian U-21 Championship, Gillman, Jan. 25th

Well done Max, and Ryan coming second, feel sorry for Nick, falling while pushing for the lead. -
Correct, they have changed the design. Dammit will have to change my printing device.
-
Yes, but the confirmation is good to get.

Rosco just stated on webchat that Nick will be at Swindon this year and try to get fixed up with a PL club when a position arises. Great news.

There must be a reason for the 4,3,2 points marky but I cannot think of one as what you say is correct. Maybe they need to change the scoring to 4,3,2,1 or 4,2,1 which would encourage more of a fight for the first and second place, rather than just sitting back and taking a second and third.

Will be looking at Speedway updates in the morning. Gillman have a good weekend of racing with meetings on Sat and Sun. Good luck Nick Morris in under 21 and Declyn Adams in under 16 Champs. -
Blimey would not accept an RBS one.

Father in law used to work in Scotland and got paid on a fri after the banks had closed. The only place in Swindon that would change them was M&S and only because one of the supervisors there was Scottish. Most people had never seen Sottish money and would not accept or change it.

We may have accepted their notes, but many establishments away from the border will not, and who is to say they will accept Sterling. A friend of mine thought the same when he went from Northern Ireland to Eire, and had to return across the border to change his Sterling for some Euros, as the garage he had stopped at would only accept Euros.
-
You may need to change your money to Euros if you go from England to Scotland.

Nick would probably continue improving and are there many other possible number one riders

Good another night for the insomniacs

I know that Darryl Ritchings is a Swindon asset and he is at Swindon most weeks and sometimes is seen riding after the main meeting. I do not recall any mention of Ben being signed. He has attended the meetings at Swindon as a spectator but I do not recall seeing him ride against Darryl in the last few years, which I would have thought he would have wanted to do, to show Rosco what he can do.

Agree, this possible arrangement should be between BV and Swindon only as the two clubs could have picked them that way round anyway.
-
On Bikerfm they commented that the old contract ran out too soon and before the agm so it is sometimes difficult to confirm an "employer" for the following season.
-
Josh Bates not now at Swindon.
-
No thanks, you keep him

Elite League Draft Riders
A ORLOV replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There were comments that the likes of Ashley Birks and a couple of others who lost out because of the new rules and that something may be done at the bspa meeting in Jan, I wonder if any of these riders may be included. -
If it is C Holder you will know who changed it. Do not know, but as this is the first year of trying it it would not surprise me if it happened. I think there were 25 listed, now if more than 5 got injured they would have to do something.

I know it is Poole but the rules mentioned that the reserves or replacements have to come from the list of Brit riders published
