Glad this is now sorted, a bit of common sense from those in charge, if only they had discussed the different options before going public, they would be seen in a better light.
If sky or go speed came up with available dates, the bspa would have agreed to the running date and change from the sunday to the friday.
The date was changed because sky or go speed want to show the meeting at KL on the sunday.
So now that info from Poland is mentioning that the meeting originally scheduled for Peterborough is now being held at KL on the week end of 22,23 March, is this also part of the reason for the change of date for this meeting, which now clashes with the one for Havvy at Poole on 21st, or was it just sky wanting to show it on the fri.
I agree with most of your point, but to date Go speed have not been able to get a sponsor in the last 15 years so why should it now change. I hope it does but will wait and see what happens.
Does this mean I go to the pub to watch Elite on a monday and then the bookies to watch other meetings, or ask the pub to show the above channels.
Fully agree, but if they are going to try to do something for this season, they are going to have to pull their fingers out. Knowing how gov departments work they have not got a cat in hells chance.
Lets hope they can do something for the end of 2014 so that this problem does not repeat it self in 2015.
I am sure from what Rosco said that because of the improvement that was why he chose him as Swindons reserve, it is a pity that has now changed but I can understand the reasons.
Tonight there is a meeting at The Jovial Monk for supporters.
AGM at 7 for 7.15
Followed by a quiz night at 8 with Rosco and a special guest, see Swindon website for full details
This is good news and welcome but but not sure about the much needed finance. From previous information I was under the impression that Sky are just showing the meeting and not paying for the rights. It may be the case that only the club showing the meeting will receive payment from Sky.
The much needed finance is supposed to come from a sponsor which is still to be found.
Not long ago it was put out that a group of MPs and a couple of promoters had set up meetings to help speedway in this country. Would this group have any clout with the people who issue visas?
Jason Crump was on it a few years ago. One of the questions was What happened next, I think the rider was Hans Nielson and I think he was celebrating a win when he went up on his back wheel and fell off.
