  1. I have no idea what organisations control the sport but there seems to be too many, some of which seem to have conflicting interests and will this decision lead to the same situation when K Packer put two fingers up to the authorities and changed cricket. At the end of the day the riders have the power and if many leave the GP and ride in the SEC can any sanctions be imposed on them re their league or international racing. As Ghostwalker comments court actions may be taken up if riders are penalized for riding in both the GP and SEC. If the fim bans riders who ride in the SEC from riding in the GPs then they may split the sport and would One Sport set up its own World Championship. Do BSI give any money to the bodies that control the sport in each country ? If not they may find that any help and support for them disappeares.
  2. Anybody got a taser gun Phil could borrow which he fires at Bomber when the tapes go up, that would make him want to get away quicker from the line.
  3. First GB team selection by Rosco to race against Rest of the World in Ben Fund on March 9th http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/11004209.Rosco_names_first_GB_team/
  4. It does seem strange that there seems to be no mention of this meeting on the club website.
  5. Try this, a fuller image. https://twitter.com/Chris_Holder23/status/430670378512285696/photo/1/large
  6. But some may not have realized the probable reduction in points they could get.and it took a while to sink in.
  7. Also the heat leaders might be wanting to re negotiate their points money now that they know they will have more races against heat leaders and probably a lower points score per meeting.
  8. Adam Skornicki won a meeting at Gillman Australia yesterday, not a lot of top opposition but he is racing. This was part of a meeting where they had solo racing, sidecars, quads and juniors. 38 heats of racing in one meeting for 25 Aus dollars which is £13. 65, not bad value. The junior part of the meeting was cancelled due to the temp reaching 42 degrees
  9. Did not see that but I remember when Malc Mad Wellie Holloway went off the track and flattened the flower bed next to the start line, also during a sidecar meeting when two collided and one of them went across the centre green at full bore towards the St Johns crew.
  10. Halifaxtiger/SCB I know Ben is passionate about riding and I have also had general conversations with him, but both on sky and in the pits he talks about what he is going to do but then often does not do it. This is why I have never taken to him. I hope he can increase his average and is able to become a rider that the GB manager would often pick. I then might change my mind.
  11. The first meeting of the season is now at Lakeside on Fri March 28th, hope the rain has stopped by then. This is listed as an EL meeting, and at the moment there is no warm up challenge meeting scheduled.
  12. What about the World Cup, or is foreign team event a different visa situation?
  13. I fully understand all that Matt, lets just see what happens before or when a defined number of houses are occupied. I did mention in my post "but I wait to see".
  14. In that case you ought to contact TR and tell him his report in the paper is wrong about the stadium for 2015 and 2014 is the last season in the current stadium.
  15. Yes, at Swindon, it is a lot easier to get to for me.
  16. According to a report from Terry Russel the diggers are moving in this week, so Swindon, but I wait to see. If it is the case I hope the machines have floats and not tracks.
  17. If Nick does get fixed up with another PL team it will be worth a visit to Somerset to see him get a max
  18. It is good to have Darryl as number 7 and I hope the fans get behind him.
  19. Call it up, wait a few seconds then translate option appears at the top of the page. You get the option for English so you will have to use that
  20. Ben Barker, needs to get his head down and perform rather than talk about it.
