  1. I understand that should be the case, it is at Swindon.
  2. Have put a couple of questions about this bet365 on the bet 365 thread if someone could look at it and answer on that thread, thanks
  3. Note to Starman, do not forget to give it a special polish so it looks good at Swindon throughout 2014.
  4. I accept what you say but after last years scores I was not expecting much from him on away tracks, apart from Eastbourne, so 4 is ok, would have preferred more obviously. It is at Swindon he should do better, but we will see. After a few meetings Swindon may need to look at the line up of the second strings.
  5. He came up against a better PK, no idea steve, it is no doubt that the Swindon heatleaders were better than Lakesides but did expect him to do better than he did, especially after his performance the other night.
  6. What a comeback by the Robins. 11 points down after heat 8 and having used one double point ride. What is interesting is the diff scores of the 3 groups Heat Leaders L 17 SW 30 2nd strings L 18 SW 9 Reserves L 12 Sw 5 Killer stated Lakeside is not a track he likes but he came good against the other heat leaders. Troy and Nick did well. Our reserves were thrashed by the Lakeside reserves, but we were without Steve. Simon and Nicolai did ok. Swindon did ok on a small away track, getting one point is a bonus and if the reserves can improve, that will be good. Lakeside Pk 2,RL 9,DW 9,MB 9,LB 6,BM 6,AE 6 Swindon PK 13,NK 5,TB 11,SG 4,NM 6,DR 3,MW 2 Look at updates for full details.
  7. Is that the noise his bike makes when he leaves the start
  8. I am glad this meeting is not at Swindon as the wind from the NE is bl**dy freezing. We have done well at Lakeside, but being the first meeting for Swindon and the performance of PK the other night this will be a tough one.
  9. I suppose this change means that the bspa have accepted and acted on the first problem with this new system, even though it was mentioned by posters on here, but it has two sides to it. More teams will have 7 riders rather than rider rr but which heat leaders with a false average will replace a second string and race against reserves.
  10. Pairs is being repeated numerous times over weekend, have decided to follow Swindon and other meetings on updates tonight and then watch pairs tomorrow.
  11. It differs, some riders book flights well ahead where the price and guarantee of a seat is needed. and often the ticket is not transferable, also purchasing a ticket close to the flight can be a lot more expensive. Try getting a refund out of Easyjet or Ryan Air, they will probably charge Killer for cancelling his flight, if he uses them. With riders using the airline each week they may have an arrangement to be able to chop and change flights at no cost. The bigger problem could be not being able to get a seat on a rescheduled flight.
  12. Does that mean they do not trust the people at Coventry to get the track right in two weeks !
  13. I am glad for the early call off, have travelled to away meetings only to arrive and meeting off. I am sure the fans of Swindon who come from afar prefer that as do the ones from the away team. Someone mentioned riders costs, and the cost to the club. Killer would have probably flown in from Bacon Land, and if he had he would have had to be accommodated last night in order to travel to Lakeside tonight. Nicolai seems to be spending quite a bit of time in Poland where he can practice 7 days a week, he may have been travelling from there, again needing putting up last night. Not sure about the location of some of the Poole riders. There is a cost to the club if a meeting is called off late as they would then have the riders travel to pay for, and a lot of fans have spent money. I accept the odd unpredicted downpour can arrive, look at the elrc last year and the trouble that caused. The management are dammed if they cancel and dammed if they do not.
  14. Agree fully with that, always listen when on, while following updates, another excellent service.
  15. As well as saving fans travelling it also saves riders from abroad flying in, but I can understand the frustration of fans who have altered other arrangements to be there tonight.
  16. CR and Lucifer, I can assure you that I would only post a rain off when confirmed. Just hope that fri night at Lakeside and next thur is ok for the visit of Coventry.
  17. Do not know CR just glad to see a meeting, bit concerned about the temp though if same as tonight.
  18. Hope this is on as all other meetings tonight are rained off. My forecast says no rain but cold, the same as Swindon tomorrow.
  19. Still the first leg of the Elite Shield sidney, according to meeting preview, not a challenge match. The preview states Darcy not available which seems strange. It will be very strange if he is there with the Poole riders. So who is Chris going to replace later in the season ?
  20. Not sure about the upper hand, Barker scored 01 in the PL tonight.
  21. I feel that both Nick, racing against heat leaders and Darryl may suffer at the start of the season but Nick especially should improve and I hope Darryl can, A lot will depend upon the return to form shown at Swindon of both Nicolai and Simon. If they ride as they have done in the past at Swindon we could do well. If they do perform like they have done they will be chasing Nick for the 3rd heat leader position as they both have easier rides. Will have to wait till the end of April for the performance of each rider and each club with this new format, to get an indication of how the team will do.
