As a rider swap or switch for a year?.
-
Wrong average for Nick, it is 6.74 or possibly 6.57 if 2.5 % applies, also the averages for Zach and others could also get a reduction so we have about 1 point spare.
-
Do not need planning permission to alter the track, just the stand etc.
-
With Somerset having dropped a league hopefully one Bank Holiday can be home and away against Swindon.
-
The Adver has reported that Nick has an average of 6.74 for 2019 and if this 2.5% reduction for ex NL riders applies to him this means that at 6.57 he is a good option.

Rosco stated that they have
-
Is the 2.5 % for any rider that was in the NL in which case Nick Morris will get it as well. The wording could be a bit better re who is eligible for the discount, ie any rider who has been in it and is it limited by riders average or years in PL.

Sounds like a foreign Delboy

GI own the stadium and land around it. They sell off chunks of the land to developers to build on.
-
It is a pity that the Council did not grow some earlier and force Stadia to stick to the original agreements re starting the stadium at a lower number of house builds. We now wait to see what happens.
-
They can alter the track within a few weeks, it is the stand etc that may not be ready by March.
-
If a person bought the most of the major clubs then they could tell the bspa to change the rules, or get the majority of club owners to change them as it was wanting a vote from day one, or it would set up a new organisation to run speedway, and since it owned and ran the major clubs it would be up to the remaining club owners to join him or carry on without the major clubs.
-
But they claim that the Agm is the most important ever and a watershed moment for quite a few years now, so no one believes them anymore and just hope that any changes they make actually are for the benefit of the fans and the future of the sport rather than just the benefit for a couple of clubs or promoters.

There is a Council Planning meeting this week where the Stadium changes are being voted on. The main objections listed so far seem to be from half a dozen people, mainly from the Bristol area, re an argument against dog racing in general and not anything to do with Speedway, but without a dog track and dog racing it is unlikely there would be any speedway . I am not sure if the Councillors will take much note of this as it is obvious that all the objections are in the same format and are from an anti greyhound racing group that no doubt object to any greyhound racing anywhere as a matter of course.

Have just checked it and yes it does.

A ORLOV replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I know of one promotor and am convinced that some of the others do not bother with certain forums or social media as they do not like the many negative comments therefore do not weed out any constructive ideas, which is why I mentioned a survey would have been a good idea. Remember that quite a few clubs own forums have been shut down. -

That is the worry cr as they do not seem to be taking much notice of the fans, more who now seem to be picking and choosing which meetings they go to, or understand why those who have stopped going no longer go. One thing that would have helped would have been for every club to have given a questionnaire out to the fans part way through the season and see what issues the fans have. If there are one or two major issues mentioned by many then maybe they can be changed for the following season. Some of the clubs seen to forget that without the fans some of the clubs will die. -

They could if they reduced the number of riders per team and/or standardised much of the equipment, then the better riders would stand out. The main downside would be that we would not have a team with the equipment to compete with other countries unless certain riders invested in different equipment to ride in the Polish or Swedish leagues etc. The way we are carrying on either clubs will go to the wall because of costs and, if they increase the entrance price, a further drop in fans going to meetings or we can drop the standard and become a feeder for the continental teams. -
This is already a thread in the News and discussion section

But if more than one club rode on a Sunday or Saturday then the visiting club may not be able to dictate when all of its away meetings at those clubs are run, especially if Poland or Sweden suddenly arranged extra practice on a Sunday or Sat when they were not scheduled to ride. Unfortunately Poland rues speedway and if they say jump the riders jump.
-
Which may help the home team but do not forget that each visiting team will visit the thursday to Sunday running clubs so will need guests etc.

That could mean that any number up to about ten riders from this year will not always be available due to Polish and other meetings. -
You must not have been at Swindon to often where the track is on top of a hill and gets very cold when the sun goes down and if there is a strong wind. When I lived in KL and went to speedway it was rarely as cold as it gets here.
-
At certain times of the season standing on the bends at Blunsdon while the riders muck about or the ref has multiple restarts from the tapes or other forms of wasting time and a meeting takes 2 hr 30 mins in the cold wind that Blunsdon gets, many do want to get away and some leave before the end of the meeting.
-
The club can always run these meetings after the main meeting, and any fans that want to get away early can leave after the main meeting. This is what used to happen, after the main meeting a few races for juniors or any riders that wanted to test out bikes etc, or the club checking out a new rider.
