  1. I used to miss meetings on Euro 2 as well so now look at this each week http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule.shtml I also look at the thread Speedway on TV 2014
  2. Am glad Andre does not appear to be as badly injured as first thought. The meeting was another example of why sky should show more PL meetings rather than some of the dross they have been. A good meeting with plenty of action from some of the young guns on each side. Brady will have to get sky to update the photo they used for each heat he was in as he looked about 12 years old.
  3. Cannot see why they cannot ride as they normally race many nights a week, another stupid rule.
  4. A tough couple of meetings coming up for the Pirates next week. Mon 4th Away to Wolves, who have just strengthened their team Wed 6th Home to Swindon, who are winning meetings and climbing up the table
  5. Then next week we have World Cup Sat, Tues, Thurs, Sat. A PL meeting on Mon, and many repeats for anyone who has missed them. All good stuff.
  6. Not too excited, it is just that your home record has been good.
  7. Was hoping we may possibly get a point out of this meeting. What a result and 4 points, no other team has got anywhere near that at BV. Steve must have been over the moon beating his brother and was a great reserve again. Was a bit concerned after 36 each after heat 12 but this time we came good at the end. Not sure what is up with Nick recently, hope it is just a temporary blip, but all the others did well.
  8. This season BV have won all their home matches with a score of 50 plus apart from one, where Cookie was missing, which they drew with Lakeside. Providing Killer gets there Swindon may get 1 point but it will be tough against good riders.
  9. With clubs that use greyhound stadiums it is difficult having just one night, also if racing was on one night only how many fans would stay at home and watch the meeting on sky if their home track had a poor club visiting. Two consecutive nights is a good idea and would save a lot of flights etc but that is also difficult. There is not an easy answer.
  10. They could have the European GP inthe UK as well as Cardiff, providing the dates are well apart, but would not want it at Wembley. Most fans enjoy the whole day out, some more than a day, and the surroundings around the Cardiff Stadium with all the pubs etc are good. Where at Wembley could all the fans from clubs all over the UK and some from abroad meet up for a day. It is a few years since I have been at Wembley but the surrounding area is awful. When they rebuilt Wembley they had the opportunity to have a multi purpose stadium with an athletics track but the FA did not want that, also as mentioned above the fact that Cardiff has a roof is a major plus which prevents a rain off and it also adds to the atmosphere within the stadium.
  11. Rosco has commented about the state of the track, something I wondered about after all the falls the last couple of weeks on bends one and two. This did cause more problems last night on bends three and four as well and nearly cost us the meeting. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/11349651.Swindon_Robins_47_Leicester_Lions_43/
  12. Thanks DSC67, have just checked again and it is now listed ch 38 for me as it is a pain in the ar#e getting rid of all the rubbish channels after a retune.
  13. This should be a good meeting tonight as Leicester have made changes and appear stronger than they did on their last visit. Jason and Mads know the Swindon track and should score well, although their scores last night at KL were disappointing. Nicolai since leaving Swindon has been riding well and may want to prove a point. It is a pity that Simon rides at Sheffield on thursdays as he was the top scorer at KL last night, Leicester have Sam Masters in his place. Providing the Robins ride as they have done the last few meetings we should beat the Lions, but it could be close.
  14. Is it this sat as cannot find this in the schedule listings for sat, anyone know when it is on ?
  15. The numbers looked to be down on prev pre Gp thursday meetings, but it was good in comparison with other attendances this year. The numbers also looked to be down on a normal Swindon - Poole meeting.
  16. If it has gone bust they are not allowed to pay one one debt off and ignore others.
  17. Will watch it to see how Jason and Mads get on as they are at Swindon next thurs, also will see if the track is rubbish or not.
  18. I agree with what you say, and originally when it was proposed, along with others commented that it should only have been one PL rider, but we have this system in place which we have to work with, which is why I raised the point.
  19. An article in the adver on the meeting yesterday comments on the riding of Nathan and that Rosco will stick with him and help him. It seems what may help Nathan is a half day practice session at the track as well as a faster bike, as was shown when he borrowed a bike in the meeting against Belle Vue and won the race. After the meeting last night he looked so dejected and needs help. He did go out after the meeting last week but not with any of the top riders showing him the lines etc. It does seem strange that he has not been going out after a meeting with other Swindon riders as if he can improve it will help the team. Is there a rule against practicing on a track on the morning of a meeting as if not it would seem make sense to get him there early along with any of the Swindon riders. This may also help him bearing in mind the need to get the track re graded for the evening meeting.
