  1. In English law an agreement between two consenting parties, both of whom are above the legal age, is a contract. The length of the contract is agreed by both parties. If specified by the contract that one party becomes the asset of the other party then it is the case. I do not see that the riding of 4H and 4A meetings has any thing to do with being an asset unless the contract stipulates that those meetings need to be completed before the contract is binding. Is it not the case that the 4H and 4A is what is used to obtain a average?
  2. I fully understand that, and its great that Red Bull are willing to sponsor youngsters. It is a good amount of money, just a pity its Euros and not Dollars or Sterling.
  3. I would not accept a contract paid in Euros, the way its going they wont be worth anything.
  4. Evening BFD what was your opinion of Troy, overtrying or a lot of bad luck. Between now and the next meeting do you get the bus back home or spend time on the Gold Coast surfing? Thanks for the comments on Speedway Updates. Look forward to next Sat.
  5. Many thanks for the update, saw the individual scores on speedway updates, but your report is more fun to read. While you wait for tonights meeting enjoy the local bars.
  6. BFD any further news on Troy ( the rider not the place!!!) as am interested in how he, Cory and Justin get on. Do the start line girls look anything like the meter maids?
  7. BFD Talking of sheep stations, many years ago I saw a programme about a relay race in Australia between two cities or towns. There was a group of people in each team who travelled in a vehicle and each person took it in turns to run a distance. The programme showed the intense training of a few of the teams, running up mountains with heavy loads on their backs and the individuals were testing themselves to the limit. Each of the support vehicles has hi-tech equipment such as heart monitors etc because of the conditions in which the teams were running in. The last team they talked to was a group of shearers. We train very hard they said, and what about the equipment you have in your vehicle asked the interviewer. That is a secret they said we will show you at the start when the vehicle is loaded. The tv crew turned up at the start and spoke to the teams, most of whom were limbering up and taking on fluids for the race. They then spoke to the shearers who were sat under a tree. Where is your support vehicle asked the crew?. Oh it will be here soon its in town getting our supplies. When the vehicle turned up it was full of beer. Dont you want to do well in this race, no was the answer just get pissed. We used to get a few programmes about mad Australian sports but not any more, Anyway have a great time this weekend and , if you are posting an update, will look forward to reading it
  8. BFD in parts of London there are more Australians than English. My sister lives next to one area and when ever I visit we always go to an old English pub which is always full of Australians. The atmosphere and banter is great especially when cricket or rugby between our two nations is taking place, it gets even better when we beat you. A happy new year to all speedway supporters
