  1. Two big meetings coming up for Peter Kildemand this week. Fri SEC final round at Czestochowa, Peters Polish track. This is being shown on Eurosport Sat GP Challenge where the top three get into next years GPs. Not being shown on tv. After his performance in last nights GP he must stand a good chance in both meetings. Also a good result for Batch last night who is now 8th in the table.
  2. I see sky is again showing highlights of old meetings from 7 to 7.30 before the Coventry - Poole meeting this monday
  3. Kildemand would have been a good choice but he is riding in Prague
  4. Tonight in the GP Kildemand showed how good he is, hope he finishes in a qualifying place.
  5. I hope Swindon wins the playoffs but do agree with your and GWR123s comments
  6. YES, with two wins by Coventry over Eastbourne tonight, we are in the play offs.
  7. I understood the meeting name was going to also be a tribute to Malc mad wellie Holloway but agree with what you say. Bob was one of the few riders that I am sure could ride under the tapes before they went up at the start of the race. He had the timing of the tapes going up to a tee in knowing how long each ref held the tapes.
  8. Bob Kilby Meeting update, old format of meeting is a good idea, followed by a second half. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2305
  9. The meetings on monday between KL at home to Lakeside and Poole away at Leicester could decide who will end up in first place. If KL are top who are they likely to pick for the sf ? If Poole are top who are they likely to pick ? Kings Lynn Against Coventry have won twice on aggregate. Against Poole have won one and lost one on aggregate. Against Swindon have lost both meetings on aggregate Poole Against Coventry won the first on aggregate. Have lost at home 47 - 48 and still have to meet them away. Against Kings Lynn have won one and lost one Against Swindon won both on aggregate, but Poole were lucky Circumstances have changed since most of these meetings were run. Kings Lynn, Poole, and Coventry are needing guests to replace either injured riders or not available. Edited to remove Eastbourne.
  10. He does not ride for Ipswich !!! Sorry could not resist that
  11. Can the guests ride in both meetings as they will be within the 8 day period for the second meeting after riding in the first.
  12. A close call at the end as Swindon came back into the meeting to scrape a point. Batch was excellent and if only Killer had had a decent night who knows what we would have done. Well done Belle Vue. Thank goodness Poole easily beat Eastbourne.
  13. I looked at the website but could not find anything about the team lineup.
  14. Belle Vue and Swindon should have all their riders available for this meeting, the final meeting of the league for Swindon. The races between the Worrall brothers will be worth watching as they will both want to beat each other, last time at Belle Vue it was one each. The last visit of Swindon resulted in a Robins win and 4 points which they will want to duplicate to help them stay in the play off positions. Swindons recent performances have been very good but they will have tough opposition from Matej Zagar, Scott Nicholls and Craig Cook.
  15. Agree GRW123, there should be a separate playoff for a different title. We, as have other clubs, have ended up leading the league and then lost out in the play off meetings. What makes it worse is if a top rider has an injury and the team is handicapped.
  16. Unless he is riding elsewhere, and neither Swindon nor Somerset are riding I am surprised either team did not get Nick Morris.
  17. Brilliant performance by the Robins, so much for the rubbish about a gate and go track. The two outstanding overtaking moves were by Simon and Dak in heat 6 and Nick and Troy in 15. As posted earlier I stated that our middle order would score more than the bees equivalent but did not expect Peter and Troy to beat Hans and Bomber by that many. Really pleased for Nick and Steve getting paid max. All the robins rode well but feel sorry for Nathan who is trying but not having many results. Rosco he needs a day on the track before the playoffs. Will have to go and watch a replay on Sky.
  18. Swindon did that this year for the Elite League and Elite Shield meetings
  19. The ref need to put on the two min as soon as the prev race finishes, allowing for any rider riding two on the trot if r/r, and if there is an unsatisfactory start as soon as he puts on the red lights.
  20. Not completely as Nick often beats the opposition heat leaders.
  21. Report on the new Link Speedway website about change of engine helping Nick get back his form. swindonlinksport.com
  22. Should be a good meeting, Hans can occasionally beat Killer and Bomber has had good meetings at Swindon. He has been scoring well recently but think Batch will get more points on the night. Nick, Simon and Dak should outscore Max, Kenneth and Kyle but the reserve races could go either way. We need the three points and providing there are no injuries the robins should get them. mdmc82, what is all this about gate and go, just watch Killer on bend two if he is behind the opposition, Nick as well. Just hope Killer is not hungry
