That line up is not bad and leaves 8.68 for the number 1. Rosco may be waiting till after Jan 8th or the BSPA meeting in Jan before making the number 1 signing.

It certainly helped increasing the team limit to 34, although a few say it is too high, and only Poole was above the new limit by 1.69 points and have to get rid of a rider. It is good that a team can remain in place, and I feel that many fans prefer the same riders if they did well, rather than have the constant breaking up of teams in the past due to low team limits.

I have been told that anyone buying a house near the new stadium at Swindon will be made aware of the speedway, as they may purchase in the winter, and they will have to accept the fact that bike noise will happen. The developer is trying to amend the original plans, which had a light industrial trading estate between the stadium and the houses, and is now wanting to reduce the size of the light industrial area and build more houses which will be built nearer the stadium but as far as I am aware this change in plans has not yet been given the go ahead.

Could only see the likes of Emil riding in the UK if they do allow rider sharing.
-
A good signing who has the ability to continue improving on his spell at Swindon in 2013 and Coventry this year.
-
Any good rider would demand a signing up fee to become contracted to a team, and a retainer if not riding for them, and only for a specific period of time. Maybe Matt is finding all the riders he has signed is costing him money and he needs to loan them out.
-
Signed as an "asset" CR but if not used by them may well be back
-
It could be, although THJ is overrated and is now in its fantasy teams since MJJ, who used to be in all its fantasy teams, got fed up with being stalked and stopped riding over here.

Sorry to read that Colin has that illness, and can Rosco tie Greg to a position?. Could not resist that Phil
-
The return of Batch is a good start to the building of the top 5 of the team. Now waiting for the number 1 rider.
-
If anyone wants to be up from 5.30am the first signing is due to be announced, report on Linksport. I will be asleep so will look when I wake up at 10 and see if my guess is correct.
-
Kings Lynn started with 30.92, Coventry 30.98, more than one point below the 32 limit. But as mentioned the FTR riders made a big difference and their scores often were the deciding factor in the meeting. Will wait to see who we and other clubs sign before any meaningful comparisons can be made.
-
But that does not stop the riders talking to riders at other clubs !
-
What is this fixation with building to the team points allowed. Last year Belle Vue and Wolves had the highest team points at the start of the season, and ended up 7th and 8th in the league. OK the FTR system screwed things up a bit but any team at the start of the season can get riders that will improve in the same way as a team built to the max can go off.

The link report has now been corrected so one of them is sober

I see either Rosco or Andy Warren has had a few if he is just waiting till he has "dotted the T's and crossed the I's" before the announcement is made.

They want your money Steve to pay the first one a signing on fee

You have been watching too much Blue Peter. Can I order a cake for Christmas?

It seems to be that the new visas only allow a non eu person to work for one sponsor ("employer") therefore they cannot double up. I know that they are self employed but the current visa does not seem to allow for this. This is what I think screwed up Jason Doyle last year. It would make sense if the bspa was their sponsor, if that is possible. Some Australian riders have dual nationality and are able to work here without a visa. Others have historical ties to the country which depends on how long ago their ancestors were transported to Aus

A sensible idea as long as no club does it just before the transfer cut off for the playoffs

Good news for Darryl.
-
It is a pity that we have not seen him ride at Swindon as a guest since we won the title. Wish him all the best at Sheffield where he seems to be happy, but speaking to him last year he would have liked to have ridden for the Robins if Sheffield raced on a different night. Would like to see him in the Bob Kilby meeting next March if available.
-
I hope Rosco gives Darryl some time on the track after the meetings, so that if we have a meeting where Lewis is riding elsewhere we can pick him as a guest at home, subject to how he performs on his comeback with which ever club he joins.
