Very good coverage, filming that on mobile phones showed it can be done on the cheap.
-
If people do contact Quest they may be able to show a repeat of each of the Eurosport GP progs. It would get wider coverage.

Well deserved Peter, no doubt his performances this year were the reason for this decision. No doubt the best Dane not already in the competition. -

Congratulations to Tai, are those holes in his ears getting bigger. Apart from one or two races is was boring so I was glad the pub was also showing the boxing, spent more time watching that after the start of each race. -

That is good as you are likely to get someone who was on the X Factor but did not win it. -
I would think it would be between Steve Worrall or Josh Grajczonek

Re the track size and shape they should have been asking those questions before the event and not after. Who from any of these organisations is responsible for tracks they take on, or is it just who will pay the most money to hold it. -
Eurosport did not switch off, they showed all of it. As mentioned It must have been sky that cut off the Eurosport transmission.

Spain is so skint they will accept anything. -
Yes, to get more than 12 points, and after not winning anything on Batch in the last two GPs I did not go for him tonight.

Boring meeting, no overtaking after the first bend and the track cost me a lot on Beat the Bookie Comp.

Have told this story before ages ago on another thread so apologies to anyone who has read it. While travelling in a coach to a GP in Poland the coach was stopped by the law for what they claimed was speeding through a town. The driver was sure he was not speeding and it had been mentioned that they often stopped foreign vehicles to top up their income. So rather than argue and delay the coach the driver paid up. During the trip back through the same town in the very early hours of the morning the driver slowed down outside the police station and the relief driver opened the discharge tap from the loo, which they had decided not to have pumped out during the stopover at the GP. Looking out of the rear window it was great to see the present left outside the local nick.

Has anybody got a site which will show updates on this meeting, thanks

One of the owners or managers of the Swindon track was extremely proud of the flower bed planted and looked after every year a few feet on the inside of the start gate. He was horrified when a rider, I think it was Malc mad wellie Holloway, veered off the track on the home straight and with his bike going at full pelt went straight through the bed destroying all the hard work that had been done. I never did find out if it was deliberate or not, but most of the riders had been complaining about where the bed had been positioned.

The Scottish National Championship, qualification for the GPs and WTC will be interesting. -
During a sidecar meeting at Swindon two of the bikes collided with each other and the one on the inside rebounded across the centre green. The flag marshals ran in all directions and I have never seen the St Johns staff leap out of their chairs and move so fast.
