What may be a good idea to help the attendance at the GP from visitors from abroad is for Aus speedway to arrange additional meetings in the period after the GP. I understand there is going to be one meeting but maybe they should try to arrange others as well where any of the GP riders that are happy to stay over for a few weeks can ride. Something like Aus v Rest of the world.
Brilliant post mike,
In order to save costs of this meeting a few promoters are going to double up or treble down.
An email was sent the bspa announcing that at long last he has come up with a major sponsor for speedway. What they were not told was that the sponsor is only paying for the drinks at the agm.
What I did find surprising was in the run off between NP and Tai. To all the people I was with it was obvious that with Tai going wide on the bend that NP was going to cut to the outside and stop him going past. Tai had to slow down because NP was right in front of him. Why did Tai not realise what NP was probably going to do and cut back inside him. NP may have got past him later but it seemed to be a simple mistake that Tai made.
Just seen an advert on Quest for the showing of this GP on freeview on Oct 4th, you have to give credit to Eurosport for this so that those without access to Eurosport can also see it.
Kildemand has blown chances tonight, he does need to ride with his brain as second in heat 13 would have been ok, but to do it again in 19 is not bright.
Jason, Zagar and Chris through, so Swindon likely to have at least one GP rider, I hope Killer gets a wild card.
If Zagar is in top 8 this year do they pick who ever is 4th tonight or just go for wild cards.
Updates is not working at the moment, strange
Heat 1 Harris, Covatti,Ljung
Heat 2 Magic, H Andersen, Sundstrom
Heat 3 Kildemand (Yes), Zagar, Kolodziej
Edit Updates now working, thanks
