  1. As it appears on the new Poole Ready Power leathers worn by C Holder and picture twitted today. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CAEEw-eW4AATwMu.jpg
  2. Hope they are on Eurosport as the racing is better than when it was on sky
  3. And in wanting to see the GB pairing there will be a lot of interest, oh hang on a minute !!!
  4. They keep changing the shop layout, just get use to where the stuff is on my once a quarter visit and they bloody well move it again. I am sure that is part of the reason people stopped going to Woolworths.
  5. If this meeting is on March 28th it is being shown on Eurosport.
  6. Speedway best pairs being shown on March 28th on Eurosport
  7. I would have thought the Speedway Authority would have been involved with the meeting with the UKv&i and got this sort of situation sorted out at the same time as the clubs were being advised.
  8. Cannot see the reason for the non issue of a temp visa for a visiting team. It is not as if they are looking to come to the UK for a year and go on the dole etc if there job ends. Would this mean that no junior international athletic team event, footy or cricket competition can now take place in the UK.
  9. They will have to use 69a, 69b etc if they get to join Jason in the meetings
  10. Press view at end of line of each group.
  11. No, it may be a good idea for marketing rider gear but it is bloody stupid for the previous year world standings. Apart from Woofy who had no 1 last year I have no idea who has what number. Will Woffy still have no1 this year?
  12. There should be a few of these type meetings to give some of the youngsters the opportunity to show what they can do and hopefully progress to the main GB team over the next few years. It would also be a good idea, if time is available, to have them race against youngsters from other countries.
  13. One of the problems in Australia appears to be that with the size of the country that experience through league racing is very limited. The distances from one speedway centre, or even track, to another could be vast, unless they want to ride against the same riders and teams all the time. They have quite a few training tracks and with the space they have the youngsters can ride anywhere and they then seem to go to tracks and have meetings for youngsters, starting at a young age on small bikes, I think they are called pee wees and building up their experience to ride on 125s and 250s etc before riding 500s. This is why when they come to the UK so many come over here at a good standard. Through our winter there seems to be very few meetings with the top Australian riders, apart from the Australian Championships. Maybe one of our Australian members can explain better than I can about how there system works.
  14. What they need to do is arrange a challenge match between a GB team and a KL Select at KL prior to the World Cup
  15. Most definitely if they change the British wild card from the top non Gp rider in the British Final again.
  16. For smooth riding style and ability, and his riding with L Richardson and M Zagar in heats 13 and 15 or shepherding younger riders to a win, Leigh Adams was a great all round rider. For putting off the opposition at Swindon Steve Gresham.
  17. And once in the eu country are they then free to travel to all the other countries where there are no border controls?.
  18. Would imagine that would be the case and if they plan it right the under 7 point riders who want to come over will share out the state events.
  19. Had to add to the likes on Starman QC comment, and yours Gustix. Edited to make the point that it is claimed by gustix that the Gustix post on the news paper article is not him.
  20. I would hope that a payment, part of the 106 agreement, is made to the council for each house built and not after they have built the 399th. Also they are not able to knock down the existing stadium to build on that area and the car park until the new one is built, so we would just continue in the old one.
  21. Not dreamt up and have gone back through this thread and found comments on page 12.
  22. Is the size of the BV track ok for FIM events or not, as way back it was mentioned that it was not?. If it is that is good
  23. The new Stadium at Swindon is scheduled to be built before the 2016 season. They have recently started building the houses and the conditions are that the Stadium must be either started or completed before they sell 400 houses. This track is of FIM size, unlike the BV one which I understand is not, but there is a planning change already put forward by the developers to reduce the size of the industrial area surrounding the track and to build more houses, which may delay the building and opening of the track by March 2016. Some houses have already been built within a couple of hundred yards from the existing stadium and others are going up fast. One thing they are building is an old peoples home next to the stadium, so if the flats overlook the track fans could get one of these flats and watch the speedway from their balcony.
