  1. Agree with above, many thanks for your and the volunteers hard work G Cooke.
  2. All Polish meetings this weekend and monday have been cancelled due to weather.
  3. Yes, which is unusual but they got it right fb. I said earlier speedway should not start until May
  4. Bl##dy weather, just got back from track, try again monday
  5. Bit of drizzle now in Old Town but nothing to worry about. I tend to look at BBC and this one, not always 100% correct but usually a lot more accurate than the BBC. Dark clouds over Swindon town but brighter over Blunsdon.
  6. Not on this forecast which tends to be more accurate than the BBC http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Swindon/hour_by_hour.html Need to check when updated at 5pm.
  7. Probably because he signed for Somerset at the start of the season.
  8. Bit of rain at the moment, but this should stop mid afternoon.
  9. That is a shame but meeting at Swindon should be on providing we do not get too much rain this morning which ruins the track.
  10. Agree, this situation was predicted last year when the FTR system was bought in.
  11. It would seem so but Rory 6.22 has a lower average than Josh 6.4
  12. Josh, which seems a bit strange when you look at their riding ability but I assume the averages have been checked out and agreed. Josh is a good rider but Rory is way better, especially at Swindon.
  13. Not too cold as the wind speed is dropping, but if the forecasts stay as they are now, unfortunately it could be rained off, the same as the morning one at Poole. Thurs am. Forecast changed and weather now looks better.
  14. Last season Rosco had a few very good young live artists singing before the meeting and I think during the interval as well, they seemed to go down well, but it was in the summer when it was not freezing like it was last week.
  15. Could anyone who went to the meeting tell me are they still using Black and White as a TR helmet colour and was it easy to distinguish from Yellow and Black.
  16. Nick Morris has been looking very good in his meetings so far this season and he rides again for Poole tonight at Somerset before travelling up to Glasgow on Sunday. Will follow updates as you are a long way from Swindon.
  17. At Swindon last night they had 25 races, it started about 7.45, may have been a bit earlier, and was finished by 9.30. There was a couple of crashes and gate restarts but the riders were at the gate waiting to come out as soon as the bikes were wheeled off the track from the previous heats, also the track was graded every 5 heats, so it can be done.
  18. Visit to the pub arranged to watch it at 5pm as there is an hour of speedway related progs before the meeting.
  19. He could pop back home for 12 weeks and get a job as a product tester.
  20. Be interesting when Coventry are on sky, will have to fit him out with a helmet mike for the commentary.
  21. Yes Richard was very good and I will be watching the team results with more interest this year and also have your meeting at Somerset in diary. Overall you have a very good team. The crossing of Hadrians Wall will not be a problem for Nick as he will be at 20,000 ft, he will be flying up for most meetings, hence the need for his passport or whatever i/d is needed if the airlines still want to see i/d even for an internal flight.
  22. Spoke to Nick Morris and his mechanic at the Ben Fund, he looked fast and I think his mechanic said that the bikes he won on were the ones he was going to use at Glasgow. I did forget to mention that he might need his passport when travelling for the home meetings.
