  1. Add to that the fact that where a rider wants to ride is a major factor. As far as a contract goes it is a two way agreement. Matt no doubt has asked the riders to sign a water tight contract which ties the rider to the club, but if the rider is really good he can dictate his own terms and the club has to take it or leave it. The contract should benefit both parties and should not be controlled by one of the parties. Darcy would be daft to sign a contract that ties him to one club for life.
  2. Would agree with what you are saying but Rob Branford is on the FTR list as a guest option only and not able to ride full time. He may have possibly indicated that he may change his status on the list if that is allowed.
  3. It would be down to what type of contract Darcy or more likely his lawyers have negotiated with Matt
  4. Lakeside visit this thurs in a busy and important week for Swindon. We got 4 points on monday at Wolves and race at Poole on wed. Swindon have Hans riding as a guest for the injured Nick Morris and Rob Branford guests for Lewis The last time Lakeside visited the Robins team was quite different and the score was 47 - 43 but since then Swindon has changed its team. Lakeside have not won away from home at all this year. Can only see a Swindon win and another 3 points.
  5. Unfortunately no, car off the road at the moment but will try to get down later in the year.
  6. Yes the Pirates will feel the breeze as the Robins go past them
  7. The result of this meeting could be down to Rosco either picking a great guest for Nick, who will be out of action for a while, or goes with r/r which gives all riders an extra ride. Not sure which d/u riders and reserves are available yet but the Robins need more points on the road.
  8. Looking good, just need to keep going well http://speedwaygb.co/eliteleaguetable15
  9. Can we use him at Lakeside on fri, he scored 10 tonight, if not Chris Harris scored 9
  10. Did it, a great 4 points away from home. Nick being withdrawn is of concern for the rest of this busy week. Great performance from Zengi, Darcy, Charles and a good one from Ashley and Troy. Now need to do the same on Wed.
  11. Not sure but if it is the picture is crap
  12. The robins need points on the road and tonight could provide them, be it 1 or 4.
  13. No you are not, did not know that he had resigned. Just hope it is because he is either too busy doing other things or having dealt with the bspa he realises he is wasting his time in trying to help this sport.
  14. Read post number 12. The above does not work.
  15. It does seem to be the situation that even if you could impose conditions about noise on a house purchaser the law is stupid and will listen to someone complaining about noise even if what creates the noise was already there.
  16. Glad I did not go to pub to watch this. Not only delayed but I have found the last couple of GPs a bit boring.
  17. I know it is not speedway, but a list of eateries to think about giving a wide birth in Swindon http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/13498697.Hygiene_inspectors_give_14_food_outlets_a_ZERO_rating/
  18. Ashley Morris to ride in place of Lewis at Wolves on monday.
  19. His Mrs was map reading and giving directions
  20. And this amazing public transport system is why the park and ride lost money and closed, anyway try getting a bus to the stadium for speedway, no chance unless you want a long walk.
  21. There will be a new car park, but it will hold a lot less cars than the present one, so cars will have to park in the surrounding industrial area, if the industrial area is actually built. There has been discussion that the local park and ride area could be used, the park and ride which is now closed since the building of the park and ride area was another cock up by the council which did not work, despite them being told it would not work.
  22. They have to report housing start numbers and concentrate on that as Central Govt pay more money to Councils who build houses.
