Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
A ORLOV replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The two club mascots will line up at the start gate and run round the track for one lap. -
This meeting originally had a theme of present team v past Swindon riders, plus as many of older ex Swindon riders will be presented, so if Crumpie is still in the country I would think he and his dad will be there.

Another case of a lack of a sensible rule, if the ref cannot see if the rider has goggles it should be down to the start marshall to point it out. -

The start marshall should have the responsibility of waiving the rider away from the start line or pointing out the no goggle issue to the ref so that the race is not started. If that results in being excluded under the two min rule, well that what happens if the rider is not ready to race. -
The only other pub that might show the whole GP then switch to the rugby is the Wheatsheaf in Ermin St, the one run by Roscos sister, but I would ring to make sure. Would have thought the steam railway could have shown it in the bars where they have multiple screens, if the GP is any good will probably go to the pub to see the rerun.

Australia like most of the commonwealth have now got their own anthems and most of them are better than the derge we have. Anyway Tai is racing for himself not England, the same as Lewis Hamilton did at the weekend, or maybe they also think the National Anthem is old fashioned, out of date and uses words that they do not believe in. The sooner the anthem is dumped and a replacement is taken up the better. -
El Tel is concerned about rumours etc but I believe he originally stated that the build was 4 months, something that most people new was not possible. Now it is 5 with a possible 6, which takes us past the start of the season. It would help to stop rumours if he explained what is the plan when the season starts and the stadium is not ready.

Club statement http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2557 No doubt Orion etc will answer this.

El Tel has slammed rumours of Swindon moving to Oxford, as has Rosco, El Tel will be issuing another statement later today.

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale

Did not take the above seriously at all, but well before that post it was stated by someone that it would not be of FIM standard. If it is that is great. -
National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
A ORLOV replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It has been stated on this thread that the track has not been built to FIM standard so unless things have changed or the FIM have an international standard size but ignore it how can they run International meetings. Also it seems that BSI will go to a stadium but only if they pay the extortionate staging fee. Is BV or the Council prepared to pay BSI to hold one of their meetings?. -
So you and a couple of others keep saying, hence the wording of check for any progress in November.
-
They could complain about the existing stadium noise so the issue of a new stadium should not arise. Steve0 that is probably plan C as B should be use existing track with it being made shorter.
-
Thank you for the information you are obtaining Buzz, one needs to hope that those that pass or work at the site can report progress some time in November. Am still concerned about the time scale, especially if we get a bad winter. Lets hope there is a plan B which is viable for any delays.
-
Completely agree with this bit of your post. Hopefully we will also have a new one at Swindon.
-
Some do not even post in basic English, one from Poole comes to mind.
-
I think that should read sold not put up.
-
Or the Robins could ride at Poole on a thurs so that those on the south coast could see a decent team
-
Nothing wrong with those comments apart from maybe they should have been made privately. I fully agree with what he said and the captain and management should learn that it is small things that can make a big difference. Communication and team spirit is very important and one thing Rosco might have done, if it was not, was arrange a team get together on the monday morning.

Does anyone on here go to the dog meetings or know a dog owner who has a dog kenneled at Blunsdon, if yes it might be worth asking them what they have been told about the kennel arrangements and scheduled meetings after Oct. Have they been told there dogs will have be moved. What was mentioned previously is that the BAGS dog contract must not stop, which is why the stadium cannot be knocked down until the new one is ready unless they move those meetings to another track. The speedway equipment is removed and stored away every winter. Buzz there is a fan club but they are probably fed the same info as every body else.
