  1. No need to, get the majority of them from Speedway Updates while the meeting is in progress.
  2. Picture on fb shows that the width of the new bend is the same as bend 3 & 4 so the picture above did show a skewed image.
  3. It is also great to see that the straights have been widened as well, which should improve the racing lines.
  4. Yet Stadia came up with the excuse, after a history of others, that they could not build the stadium in its original proposed site next to the A419 because of the drainage issues. Well good luck to anyone that buys a house there, still they will be able to grow rice.
  5. The digging out of the grass in the position of the new bend, yes. Would not think it needs to settle as it has always been there.
  6. Not sure but I hope that the Speedway management are supervising the work, as we would not want a repeat of what happened at Belle Vue.
  7. That is how I take the GP at Cardiff, the day around the stadium meeting fans from other clubs and countries then time in a couple of good watering holes followed by the atmosphere and noise inside the stadium is often more memorable than the racing.
  8. I know and often speak to members of the planning committee who dealt with the stadium area application which is how I know what conditions have been set before any more houses can be built. Stadia have to complete all work on the stadium and deal fully with the previous planning conditions agreed by the planners before any more houses can be started. This was stipulated at the last planning meeting when permission was finally given to revert back to the existing stadium and for work to start.
  9. The shortening of the track alone will not allow the housing to be built. Read the planning conditions. As Sid states if we get better racing on a shorter track, that is good.
  10. Eventually houses will be built on the car park but not until they have complied with the planning conditions and are then given pp.
  11. The builders have NOT got planning permission for the houses on the east of the stadium, so ignore all the rubbish being posted.
  12. The time scales continually mentioned have been from cloud cuckoo land, as were the start dates of any changes since 2015.
  13. Most have seen that and the future hopes of Stadia
  14. Not sure about the kerb stones as it was stated that the track was being shortened by about 10 mtrs and that is only a couple. They are possibly for the lighting cables or drainage between the speedway and dog track.
  15. Diggers digging out the shale on bends 1&2 today, picture on Swindon Stadium in the News and Discussion section and on twitter.
  16. Diggers are removing the shale banking on bends 1 and 2
  17. Scott Nicholls has been signed as the injury replacement
  18. They could even put one or two race highlights on it where the meeting is filmed. A few clubs in Poland often show the whole meeting live, clubs here could do that but without advertising it before the meeting so that fans do not attend.
  19. Correct present position wise, the house owner can serve teas to the riders.
  20. Nothing has happened to the stand, and meetings can continue, be it on the old track or new one if it is built, with the pits used last year. The houses have not been built on the pits area.
  21. a, As of today nothing has happened b, no idea
