  1. A further statement re the stadium on Robins website, http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2596
  2. Rosco should make use of any time available for the riders that may be in the SWC team to practice as well.
  3. They can do the following as only the perimeter of the stadiums overlap on the corner of the present stadium at bend 1 and I understand that they may need to shorten the straights of the present stadium inorder to build the new stadium corner. There is room for the new dog and speedway track to be built while the shortened track is in use.
  4. Report in Adver re Rosco on stadium http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/14119205.No_drama_for_Rossiter_as_Robins_start_2016_at_Abbey/
  5. The new track is to the east of the current track with one of the straights being next to and in line with the dual carriageway and either bend 2 or 4 being very near where bend 1 of the present track is. If you look at the adver report, next post, bend 1 is in the top left hand corner of the picture and you can see a bit of the road in the bottom left corner, so the new track is to the left of that picture.
  6. There has been talk of using the old Groundwell Park and ride site, but not sure if that is a possibility. If they do use it they will have to get someone to run a shuttle service to the stadium.

  8. Be fare there were a couple of answers that were right but the questions were wrong
  9. Looks like you will be fighting Wolves for the wooden spoon next year
  10. There are also tunnels in north Swindon going from Cheney Manor north to the Church in Akers Way, but not sure if these were for hiding smuggled contriband or just the hiding of priests when Cromwell was about. These were found when they built some of the houses in Cheney Manor Road. The new stadium is being built where there is a concrete carpark so they can just chuck a light sprinkling of shale on top of it and end up with a track similar to Wimborne Road
  11. But they will get a great view of the racing It is when even they do not have a clue as to when the new one may be started. The biggest downside with the delay and more houses being sold before the stadium is started is that there will be more people to object to the stadium if they wish to do so.
  12. Well that is good as there is no way the rent from the speedway would pay the interest.
  13. Would imagine it possibly already has. Is it not the case with riders coming from abroad and going into the "list of heat leaders" and causing those at the bottom of the initial list to drop out. If a team has already signed one of the riders who have dropped out then they could end up with 4 heat leaders, three from the latest cobbled together list and one who was on the original list but who now has dropped out.
  14. Australia needs people for both its growing industry and sport, if you can say gooday cobba while drinking a stubby of Fosters you are Australian.
  15. I am sure that those riders would ride in one meeting if the money was right.
  16. Good rider with an average of 7.10 and would like him in the team but may have the same issue as last year with too many meetings elsewhere, no doubt a possible play off rider if needed.
  17. Zengi is on a false average but if Rosco wants him as a heat leader he would be welcomed by many even though he is using up points that could go to give us a stronger second string rider.
  18. The only fireworks you will see will be Nov 5th
