  1. This is the question asked earlier but nobody knows the answer.
  2. 10 days is a bit tight for the BV - Poole meeting, with hopefully a couple of practice sessions before that.
  3. You will meet plenty of Polish fans but you might need to speak to them early in the day before they have been in the pub for 5 hours. They are very friendly but some will be a bit inebriated.
  4. OK I got the projection wrong. I did not expect two things, a rutted track and the Swindon riders carrying on from the night before and not getting out of the gate, and yes some of the riders were rubbish . After the track was bladed there was a bit more overtaking, but in no way less than Leicester.
  5. What a complete waste of time as signs inside the stadium and notes in the prog have no authority what so ever, unless there is a sign at the point of payment and entry.
  6. Do you know if this repair is being done under the supervision of a proper track person, now that it has been shown that it was done wrong once.
  7. Couple of months, who are you trying to kid
  8. It would be interesting to know if the Council and contractor used and asked for or employed the expertise of a speedway track person when building the track. The council here in Swindon have recently carried out a complex project and cocked it up because they did not ask for and ignored the offer of advice from local experts, they relied on consultants from elsewhere. The job has been signed off, again by the council, without asking the local experts if what had been done was ok or not and now the rate payer have a six figure repair bill to correct all the mistakes made.
  9. The track was difficult and the Swindon riders were still slow out of the gate at the start of the meeting. The issue about the track was that only one tractor was ready to be used and the riders were not happy. As the track got worse the blade was put on the second tractor and it helped the state of the track a bit, but by then it was well into the meeting. Both tractors should always be ready for every meeting regardless of conditions. Wolves took advantage of the state of the track and Swindon did not. Charles was the best rider of the team, based on his position in the team, Jason did ok as did Josh, but the other 4 need to rapidly improve. Finally congratulations to Wolves who got out of the gate and adapted to the track.
  10. I could get my digeragoo out and wave it at the team.
  11. Weather now bright dry and sunny so it is shorts and tea shirts tonight rather than thermals.
  12. Add the two statements together as after a rubbish start from the gate even if the Swindon rider caught the opposition it was almost impossible to overtake them because of the shape of the track unless the Leicester rider made a mistake.
  13. Swindon do it all the time, if you look on their website you will see how people get a refund for tickets purchased on line for last weeks rained off meeting, no doubt other clubs, including BV, do the same. I was watching last night but tend not to listen to the garbage put out by the presenters.
  14. Weather update We have had no rain this morning and the threat of rain this afternoon and this evening has disappeared from the forecast.
  15. This is what people can not see. If hundreds of thousands cancelled sky they would either reduce their charges or pack up in the uk. People have power, do not complain, USE IT.
  16. Not much as the track will need time to settle down after the work being done on it now, and with more unsettled weather due which will not help.
  17. They are still not telling anyone about the BV - Poole meeting on 27th which is likely not to happen. I wonder if they are selling tickets for it and more importantly is anyone buying them?
  18. Just seen the line up and Charles Wright is riding despite dislocating his shoulder last night, putting it back and riding. Good on him and it is a good job this is not football other wise he would have needed 6 months off. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2657
  19. Slim and if any looks like the odd light shower, just like the opposition.
  20. Following a not very good performance last night, although a couple of the riders were rusty and the track was crap, the robins need to show tonight what they can do. If they continue to be slow out of the gate Wolves may win, but I am hoping we get a win but would not be surprised if Wolves got within 6 points. If they are slow out of the gate at least the riders can overtake on our track, something that was very difficult to do last night on that micky mouse one.
  21. It is all relative they are all younger than the OAP Rosco Is this word on the street from the same people who always claim they know what is going on each year and can name the team before Rosco has spoken to and signed them. I heard a few talking utter rubbish at practice about the new stadium build program.
  22. Not a good meeting tonight, nearly got the 1 point but the Robins need to get out of the gate. They may have changed the track but it is still rubbish with first to bend 1 usually won the race, very processional and virtually no overtaking, the size of the crowd even though it was only £10 showed what the locals think of it. Swindon need to get a bit of practice in tomorrow before Wolves visit.
  23. Exactly and along with other issues mentioned it is almost impossible for the bspa to do anything about it. The only possible action that could be taken is the club where the periscoping is taking place could ask the person doing it to stop or they could chuck them out of and ban them from that stadium only.
