  1. I just stated what someone said ie that the ground below the surface, before the track was laid, was not in the condition it should have been. That means no lumps of tarmac, concrete, clay etc or other material that may hold back water. You have stated that a large piece of tarmac from the original hockey pitches was stopping the water reaching the drainage. I see the two statements meaning the same, and not 100 million % not true FACT When you take the pictures it will be interesting to see how deep the track and ground below the track has been dug out, as it seems that the ground below the track would not allow the water to drain away.
  2. That is a hell of a shame but understandable, many thanks for early notification and post on here Bryn.
  3. They could easily change it so that the management and ftr rider can decide if the ftr rider going into the 1 - 5 becomes a heat leader or second string, once that decision is made then they stick at it. They also need to change the average calculation format or next year the averages are going to be more of a joke than they are now.
  4. As the above is ambiguous and not clear it is difficult to answer. What has a plaster called Colin got to do with it? Who did the roof fall on? If you mean a plasterer carried out the job and you were a visitor to the house you would sue the house owner as they are the prime owner. It would then be up to the house owner to sue whoever was responsible for the ceiling falling in.
  5. Is it possible for the guy who earlier flew the drone over the stadium to check out the above claim, or show the work being carried out on bends 3 and 4. From what I heard from a fan in the crowd at last nights meeting they have dug out the track and the ground below the track as it was the condition of the ground before the track base was laid that was the problem.
  6. That makes a lot of sense, especially if you take the opportunity to visit local attractions or tie in visits elsewhere.
  7. I was wondering that, it would not be right if he was on the ftr rate when he may only score 1 or 2 points due to this somewhat strange system.
  8. Very few clubs will win at Lakeside. It will just be a question of by how many points we get beaten.
  9. Good result for Roscos Roobins, both Justin and Nick upped their performances and Jason had a great night followed by Josh and Rohan. Charles was struggling but there was no shame in that since he was a reserve racing as a heat leader under this crazy system, he should have been allowed to ride as a second string. Some fans have written Swindon off and put them in the bottom half of the table, lets see what happens by the end of May.
  10. One would have thought so unless the ground they built the track base on was dodgy, will have to wait and see what new problems are if they are made public.
  11. And the second will be rained off Most decent thursdays will be when we do not have a meeting
  12. Sky meeting changed due to more problems at Belle Vue Meeting now Apr 27 Kings Lynn - Poole.
  13. So now they have dug up bends 3 and 4 they have found another problem, and some on here said that there was no need for the contractor to utilise the expertise of someone who knew how to build a speedway track. The problems and repairs are down to the Council and contractor but if the job was done properly the stadium would be up and running by now and would have saved a lot of embarrassment.
  14. Sun now out but still windy so will need to wrap up a bit.
  15. May 23 still on sky schedule, just released.
  16. You could fill out the result of heat 13 and 15 before they were run, brilliant pairing.
  17. Weather ok, light cloud all day, windy that will make it a bit chilly.
  18. Are the Coventry riders able to miss the infamous hole?.
  19. Rider line ups and Swindon preview at last http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2659
  20. Still no team line ups or meeting review on the Swindon website.
  21. The way the team rode that was last thursday
  22. Not as far as I can see, there have been no answers to the councils objecting and wanting clarification of extra parking for speedway.
