  1. You need to watch out Leicester are visiting you on 27th.
  2. Rohan has just reported that he will not be riding at Leicester tonight, but will be there supporting the team. No news re r/r or guest taking his place.
  3. Have seen a few riders when the bikes pack up or the rider is having issues with the bike pull out of the race and ride, slowly, across the grass to park up near the pit gate
  4. Well I hope Silverbee carries on with his texting as his comments are very good and liven up the odd meeting.
  5. Would have predicted that the roobins would get a win tonight, but after the results in the last week who knows what the final scores will be. Leicester are much weaker without the helpers from Poole but Swindon are so inconsistent with the current team positions.
  6. What is frustrating is that Brady was in the pits with Rosco for most of last years meetings, so how come he went and joined the bl##dy Pirates.
  7. It was in the transport report that the Speedway would have to provide the transport to and from the park and ride, point 4.6 of the Travel Plan, and not the Council paying for it. I would also expect that the Speedway would have to pay for the busses from Swindon to and from the stadium, which is the same as used to happen. What has probably been clobbered is the hope and desire to run major speedway events. There may be more news about car parking in the next month or two.
  8. That will be interesting getting people to car share etc and structuring the parking price on single or multiple occupied vehicles for the 928 vehicle spaces, 479 at the stadium and 449 at the Park and Ride. One sensible part is the reintroduction of bus transport to and from the stadium, providing the fares are not too high. I hope they will be providing security staff at the park and ride while the meeting is on.
  9. An individual rider can but the Polish clubs have the power and pay a lot of money, and they tell the riders what they will do and when they will do it. The rider can go against what the club wants but risks losing his Polish contract and the pay that goes with it.
  10. Not a good result for the roobins at all. It seemed that the team is really inconsistent since the position changes and the main question is did Rosco forget to use the IRR rule, if it still exists, for the injured Rohan. Congratulations to Leicester on a good win. One rumour mentioned that can be quashed is that I was told that Jason is riding at Leicester on saturday by someone who is normally reliable, but will it matter.
  11. Was only thinking about a GB - Aus test last night at Swindon while watching 7 Aussie riders from two teams. There are probably more Aussie riders in the UK at the moment than there are back in Aus. One meeting at Poole, one at Swindon and one or two elsewhere. If the top riders are tied up on the continent in June then run an under 25 or whatever. Poole has no more meeting in June and Swindon has two individual weeks with no meetings.
  12. Weather report, now bright and sunny but a reasonable north east wind could make it cold later on.
  13. Weather overcast but dry, but wrap up warm, there is a cold northerly wind.
  14. As it does in the pub I watch it in, Speedway on big screen and kicking a bag of air about on small screen with the sound off so you cannot hear the comments.
  15. Now await some optimist claiming England may get through to the play offs, or is it there are a lot of Romanian and Albanians living in Poole who go to speedway?
  16. You get a few of those at Swindon who each season claim they know the riders being signed for the team, this is before Rosco does. At the moment we are getting all the crap about what is happening about the new track.
  17. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2690 Leicester have two guests in Richard Lawson and Brady Kurtz and with A Summers and N Klindt Leicester could do well. The robins need to get going from heat 1 tonight and not, like on monday and last night, let the opposition build up a lead. What is up with the team since the change in line up, are they not able to gate, asleep at the start of the meeting, or not setting up their bikes properly, anyone any ideas. We have got to get back to a big win tonight and again on Saturday against Leicester. I also hope they have sorted out a new hose pipe so they can keep the dust on the track down.
  18. Yes and when we have got the heat leaders in the right positions we will get more.
  19. What is the track and weather like down there as one forecast has rain from 2pm till 7pm?.
