TR and the new Directors, on behalf of Swindon Speedway need to get the Council Planning dept to start doing what they are supposed to do. The only problem is that Speedway has no say whatsoever in the development or building of the stadium as all they do is rent the present one from Stadia UK, they do not own it.

They had a Union Jack flag with Save Coventry Speedway, or something like that, on it which was near the entrance to the track from the pits that just happened to be shown a few times, but as the camera was following the rider it was only on screen for a couple of seconds each time it was seen.

The parking issue that is hopefully resolved was the traffic flow into the stadium with pedestrians using the same space. What was and seems to be outstanding was the number of parking spaces, ie 600 or 700 spaces for 3500 people is ridiculous. I understand that there is news due on parking but have not seen anything yet.

More fool them if they sign up to a team but do not ride or get paid if they are stopped fro riding for any other team.

Just keep reading the Swindon Speedway thread and the details on the planning apps. Many untruths have been told re start dates for the stadium and even the bull excretia they put out re planning permission having been obtained when it clearly has not also their ridiculous timescale claims. Swindon Council should have insisted that the new stadium was built before any houses were and Stadia UK would have had to find the finance to do it, rather than let them build the houses to finance the stadium. Now the houses are occupied there have already been letters going round re the noise from the speedway. I have no idea if the new residents can now object to the stadium being used for speedway which it why it would have been better to have it up and running before any houses are built.

It is because those responsible for the speedway and J Tomlinson are continually treated like mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed sh#t in relation to a start and finish date for the stadium.

He needs to ride in Poland or Denmark, not go back to PL. I think he did have a Polish club but did not seem to get many rides so not sure if he has jacked them in.
