A further document has been received from Highways England, listed on July 26th, basically saying that transport to the stadium will need to be monitored and that they want a large number of attendees to use sustainable modes of transport, ie not cars. The numbers and modes of transport will be monitored and reported. With the state and current provision of public transport in Swindon to the area of the stadium being awful, I have doubts that this will work. Many fans travel from all directions of the compass so public transport is of no use to them whatsoever.

I would have thought a weekend of EL Speedway would be attended by the riders as they could enjoy any entertainment etc during the time they are not racing, especially if it is say a saturday evening. A whole weekend of eliminator meetings then semi and finals, possibly with something like The youngster meetings that Neil Vatcher runs in charge of between the main meetings would be well attended as it would be like a two or three day Cardiff where fans from all clubs and even some from abroad could have a good weekend. There seem to be quite a few reports about the 4s weekend being enjoyed by many, not only the racing but also the actual weekend.

Bomber may have a higher average, but Danny has now twice had higher scores than Bomber at Belle Vue, and at Cardiff against GP riders, scores elsewhere do not really matter so Rosco has made the correct choice.

No it does not, most people realise that Danny is doing better than Chris recently, just look at the British Final and the Cardiff GP. Bomber has been a stalwart of the British team and I would have him there on Sat as a motivator and if next year he is beating Danny and the other Brits in most meetings then I am sure he would be included.

I agree about Steve Worrall and as he is on standby he may ride at practice and out ride C Cook, not sure if that happens if Rosco may make a last min change.

Would not expect the riders to put aside a couple of weeks, unless it was the next batch of youngsters wanting to get into the GB team and was before the season started. But would have thought they could have managed a couple of days, hopefully they are able to do that early next week, and yes the British Team should pay the riders out of any money they get from BSI.

Agree and even if it is eventually approved can not see any building taking place until after the end of the season because of the time it takes the council to approve anything and also the fact that the build will take up most of the car park.

That is not a surprise, also Lakeside is an awkward place to travel to unless you are doing something else in that area. Friday afternoon on the M25 is not an ideal trip.

There are more reports listed today on the planning app page at the Council re construction details etc, talks have also been held about parking but there are no details reported so I have no idea where you are going to park.

No they have not which is something I have been surprised about. I agree with what you say that a practice should have been held before now even though the track at BV is still changing. The Danes used to take a complete squad plus youngsters who may well be the next batch of Danish Internationals to KL before or at the start of each season when the WC was held there. I believe that a reduced squad from the original named will be named in the next couple of days and if allowed I hope that they get to practice at BV early next week.
