  1. Work is supposed to start on Oct 28th, can someone drive past the stadium on say Nov 1st
  2. They seem to have moved the position of the new stadium and it is now only part of the new carpark which overlaps the present stadium. So presumably they will have to use some temporary parking until the corner of the present stadium is demolished. They will have to provide something as the number of proposed parking spaces will not be enough for an average crowd. The parking provision is now 251 spaces around the stadium and 228 overflow spaces. Further parking is planned at the park and ride about 2 mile away where there are 449 spaces available. Buttons, on 17 Oct 2016 - 7:15 PM, said: What's going to happen with the homeowners and noise issues when/if the new track gets going, I cannot believe there will be no complaints about the noise! That could be a problem if they keep building the houses, there are then more people who could possibly complain against any noise or parking issues.
  3. Will any of them get thrown to the lions ?
  4. They are not supposed to knock down the existing one till the new one is up and running, so the Council need to start getting tough and stop the building of any more new houses until there is a start on the stadium. I am not sure if the planning permission terms were tough enough. They should have stipulated what the developers could do both before the stadium was started and after it is completed. So if the new one is not ready the 2017 season will start in the present stadium.
  5. Matt is coming up with Pooles riders and any other rider he might be looking at next year and after he has signed them up the bspa will publish them .
  6. A large pile of soil was moved there from the housing estate being built at the start of this year, but moles might have added to it.
  7. That is exactly the issue, when a certain interest rate is correct for one country it is not right for others, so ultimately it will not optimise what can be the best for all.
  8. Did you not see a bloke digging out the foundations with a shovel
  9. Alright the eec, but it should have still not been allowed to join the eec or take up the euro when the euro was created.
  10. There is plenty wrong with the eu and was before the greek crisis came to a head. Yes the greek govt were basket cases and allowed anyone who was in a position to not pay their taxes to do so, and what happened when they announced they were going to clamp down, millions were taken out of greece and invested abroad. When the eu expanded greece should not have been allowed to join it, it fiddled its figures and was given a too high convergence rate, but the egos of those in charge of the eu at the time wanted to appear powerful and would not admit they were wrong in inviting greece to join. Even after this was known the eu still offered them loans that they knew they would either struggle to or never pay back.
  11. You pessimistic bu##er, how could you doubt reports from TR or an MP
  12. Some cannot accept that if people do not vote they cannot be included in the result. Maybe more might have voted to stay if cameron had come back from the eu with a decent agreement instead of the cr#p they gave him.
  13. No problem with that as they need to be encouraged to grow more food. We need to produce more and start reducing our level of imports, it will be a small reduction but any reduction will be good.
  14. Most of these farmers say they are being screwed but they all drive around in expensive cars and Range Rovers. Why many of them voted to get out was because of all the red tape and paperwork they have to comply with.
  15. There is a farmer on the edge of Swindon who leases land from the Council does nothing with it apart from cutting the grass and also gets a set aside grant from the eu and has been making a profit for years doing this. The CAP is another eu waste of money.
  16. And it will continue until all the riders one year turn round and tell the promoters what to do with their contract.
  17. That is similar to the only bit of progs like the X factor etc that I might watch if there is nothing decent to watch, all the loonies who think they have a skill or can sing, they are so funny and what is bad is that they do not not even realise how awful they are.
  18. If you had a phone in with people who voted to stay many could not correctly answer what benefits they voted for and why.
  19. All that will do is reduce the numbers going to the meetings. Also if it is only one night a week if sky are showing a good meeting and the visitors that night to your club are not good many fans will stay at home and watch the meeting on sky.
  20. Why would you want KK if Poland continues with their stance of any Polish rider having to have Poland as a priority
  21. If true that would be a hell of a loss to speedway and also a kick in the teeth for Manchester Council who have provided a stadium that may not be used. Speedway all over the country would lose out and its reputation would plummet lower than it is at the moment.
  22. Excellent service that is used and enjoyed all season, many thanks go to those that run it, text and update results. I also would love the return of Silverbee.
  23. It would depend if they were going to ride for Poole or not
  24. Good, bloody awful stuff. My sister used to eat fruit cake with marmite spread on it and the smell of it turned me off it. When we used to travel past the marmite factory near the oval in London there would be a fight to open or close the car window. Now that all marmite is made in Burton on Trent why does the drop in the value of the £ cause a price increase?.
