So far only the promoters know what will happen with the team average total after the first green sheets, but if we go on past performance (cock ups) of the bspa rule makers nothing would surprise me re if they have thought it through. If they had thought things through we would not have the mess they seem to have got themselves into with the averages attained last year.
-
But someone else might "sponsor" him so he does not go short.
-
Why not especially if 50 points is the limit after the first lot of green sheets and the teams use averages earnt in April. Have riders lined up for May.
-
One would hope so, if not then the riders need to sue the original management and if no joy there then possibly the bspa, being the governing body.
-
I think that is the latest they have come up with, unless a lot of the top riders refuse to ride with those terms.
-
Seems to be the way they are going, but a trip back to Australia each week is going to be costly and time consuming .
-
Cannot confirm anything official but a lot seem to think it is the case, someone needs to ask one of the team managers or owners. I cannot see only two being viable.
-
Too many d/u there with King, Lambert and Kerr
-
Would be interesting if all four riders in one race rode across the centre green, returned to the pits after a false start or delayed the start, there is plenty they could get up to.
-
I think a few clubs will be having the same problem, with riders needing to make a decent living.
-
Have already posted what the meeting would be like, many engines packing up, riding wide on bends, going through the tapes then off 15 mtrs every other race, etc etc

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season
A ORLOV replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Someone mentioned it was only two riders, which is not good as last year we had 4 which included the two EDR riders. No doubt we might want a low averaged reserve this year as well, and other riders in the team want more rides . If allowed all our 2 - 7 would have wanted to have doubled up last year. -
Chris Holder tweeted that the new team rules are not doing him any favours
-
This has been a problem for years, good and improving riders doing well and then because of the next year team limit doing themselves out of a job. Top teams having to break up because they were successful. And people wonder why certain teams riders have engine problems or bad nights towards the end of the season.
-
How on earth do they think they can pay that per meeting, that per month would be high.
-
No, the position of the new stadium on the new plan has moved away from the present track so both are available, where as the original position of the planned new one did overlap the fans standing area at bend 1 which would have made using the old stadium not impossible but awkward.
-
In which case with Wimborne Rd in his sights next, you may have to watch Somerset or IOW each week, or if we do get the stadium you may find Poole riding at Swindon.
-
A more relevant question would be has he actually seen the planning conditions or is he repeating what he has been told. Rosco was on the radio Sat talking about the new stadium, did anyone hear what he said.
-
You will have to ask your contacts if the % reduction for Brits is still applicable.
-
I hope that is the case but cannot see the promoters doing that. What it will probably do is put them off raising the entry price for the 2017 season.
-
On the original plans it did but the latest plans seem to show it a bit further south and now not overlapping the present one. It is all this chopping and changing of the plans etc that makes one a little concerned as to, do those designing the stadium know what they are doing.
-
Sounds similar to the Olympic Stadium.
-
Well If that does happen I just hope the council grow some balls and stop the house building.

Best Teams You Can Build Under 50pt Limit
A ORLOV replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What is the SGBPL, is this the new Premiership league?, in which case that is good. -
Just hope it is built sooner rather than later.
