  1. Yes, just walk around Swindon and see how many are empty or rented out for a week or two. Most of the charities are using empty shops with little or no rent paid.
  2. But you would make sure that when the second applicant comes along, especially if they were in the same sort of business, you would want a lot more security and where possible guarantees against the second one going bust or doing a runner.
  3. They did but the reports wording seems to contradict that, also parking for the old stadium could be a nightmare while the new one is being built on the existing car park and with all the construction equipment on site. Will have to wait and see what the meeting fixture list states.
  4. The report on the Swindon website re "Work Starts on Stadium Site" gives that impression, but that may not be the case.
  5. That is all very well but from reports in the Adver it is possible we will not have any home meetings till June which leaves it a bit of a long time to wait to make any changes. Good hint shocks. The team managers will have to think a lot more this year with these screwed up averages. There could be some interesting scores for the first couple of months.
  6. Rosco pulls them out of the bag, his average is a little high and many thought that under this points limit he may not get a place. A good British youngster who can continue to improve. A good start to the team build along side Jason.
  7. The wording is "Rosco is set to unveil a brand new signing for the 2017 season", so I would think a rider who has not signed for us before.
  8. Rosco hopes to be naming a new rider on Saturday. He has also asked posters to stop taking the p### out of his summer work outfit. May have to see if the club run a mini bus down to Somerset
  9. Neither does Rosco, all ready and eager to get the stadium started
  10. Rosco eager to get going and help with the work on the new stadium
  11. Looks positive, just been tweeted, diggers have moved in ahead of work starting
  12. So even they are getting confused with these new league names, no doubt we will get used to it.
  13. If I remember correctly BV or the Council have called their stadium National Speedway Stadium, it is not a The National Stadium for the country, so major events will be held elsewhere. At the moment the track is probably one of the best in the country where major events could be run providing all the other factors needed are in place and working correctly. I do hope that the club can sort out its future at this location because the World Cup showed how good the track was and that it can sort out the finances so that BV can be financially secure.
  14. Article in the local rag today about the new stadium build http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/14881491.Work_to_start_on_new___5m_Swindon_Stadium/ Good news, but with previous news etc I wait for work on the ground.
  15. Article in the local rag about the new stadium build. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/14881491.Work_to_start_on_new___5m_Swindon_Stadium/ Great news, but with all the previous start dates I wait to see work on the ground.
  16. The bspa site shows final averages for 2016, list on 8th Nov, where his average is 7.21, which does seem low but remember he did not have a good start to the season and picked up well at the end of it. 7.21 x 1.4 =10.09
  17. Well Go Slow was tasked with getting in league sponsorship, it has got the sky deal which pays the club when their meeting is televised, but after that it is up to each club and rider to go out and get sponsorship.
  18. I am hoping that can happen as on the whole it did work well last year.
  19. If six are allowed that could be either a problem some nights getting good riders or a blessing where we can get track specialists in.
  20. There is always hope otherwise I might as well stay at home, watch garbage like Eastenders and vegetate instead.
  21. How I hope we end up above Poole at the end of the season.
  22. Sounds positive, hope all the plans come off, will look forward to your visit to Swindon.
  23. I have wondered that as the track at BV seems to be better, maybe down to BV management or the weather there
