I will remember that prediction
-
As I had hoped Swindon are going to have a team at National League level but only racing in the National Trophy. The team will be made up of riders whos teams are not in the competition and competition details are being released tomorrow.
-
Preferably south of Aswan where the crocodiles are enormous
-
Not that concerned, as I hope Rosco will make changes after a couple of months if we are under performing. We just need to beat your lot.
-
I thought that during the Polish speedway season Aussies could nominate Britain as their home nation if they rode in GB, and it is a total of 3.
-
Looking at his profile he only rode in Poland and Sweden plus Poole UK last year, so can ride in the UK if he wishes.
-
That is what most councils would do, then even the new speedway management could tender for it if they wanted.
-
Or is it because if he is inconsistent he will be replaced?
-
That does seem strange as Mike would not have known how decisions at the agm are made, mind you was not Colin Pratt there he should have known about the carry ons some get up to.
-
I am sure the management of Swindon or Poole thought we will have to tell poolebolton how much Swindon paid .
-
The trouble is Chalkie that most of the previous agms have been the same which is why the sport has been going downhill, but some of the promoters cannot see that.
-
He will have to learn to look behind more and see if he can help them, that is what was great with L Adams he would slow down the opposition and get the number 2 to come through.
-
Agree, I hinted a few weeks ago that this may happen. Would have hoped that Rosco would have checked the Dane out with someone at the top of the bspa, so someone had screwed up.
-
Is that a guess or info you have seen ?
-
I was under the impression that no promoter could have both a PL and CL team, plus as other have said the limit on only two d/u from the same team causes an issue. This is a shame as actually having a team in both leagues, with riders moving up, is a good idea. I still wait to see if we will have a NL team next year.
-
I have seen the same with fans where their children follow a certain rider, who the parents then support with a few quid. You would often see the children with the riders caps and even a speedway bib at meetings, but now with riders moving on after one year the fans do not support them as much.
-
Could mean that Matt is looking to cut costs, but more likely they may have discussed having one big league being the way forward as GB becomes the training ground for the clubs on the continent. Swindon has also signed up a couple of youngsters, one of whom is not in next years team, and has a couple of others they have booked possibly for the future.

Poole dropping to lower league next year
-
Have said for a long time that both fans and local sponsors do not want riders changing clubs. What is the point of Freds Garage next to the Somerset track paying a rider to advertise the garage in Glasgow. National sponsors would be different but how many of those are there.
-
Rohan improved a hell of a lot after the threat of him going, so I think everybody was glad he stayed. I would not have objected to him staying as a Robin this year.
-
I know nothing about him or any previous record and hope your assessment is right.
-
Would hope once they drop to 42 they forget any 1.4 mult for any EL riders, but they would need to increase any PL rider av up to the EL standard, liked they used to do.
-
Riders are self employed so employment law in relation to who can or cannot ride is not applicable.
-
Was looking at it last night, and now that gater is banned the other names are cropping up.
-
They are but no doubt riders talk to each other, sometimes with and sometimes without the interested clubs knowledge.
