  1. It is a shame they could not have got the existing track authorised to run it, I was looking forward to seeing that meeting. I had a look at the progress on the new stadium last night but there was not any progress or stadium, just still a big heap of dirt and a few stone gabions.
  2. It seems that the logo to be named is just the mascot, they are still using what looks like a swallow on the race suits. Is the mascot suit for Rosco ?
  3. Speed up the meetings and then have time for a second half for youngsters or even a short meeting of say 6 heats for NL riders. Those that want to get away after 90 mins at the end of the main meeting can do so, others that want to see the youngsters or have a longer time watching racing can do so. The main riders can either stay or get away if they are due to fly off to wherever the next day and up and coming youngsters get more track time and racing.
  4. Time is passing fast and had not realised this meeting is only a couple of days away. Leicester has probably strengthened with the adding of King and Bates and this should be a good testing meeting for both teams with new riders. There seems to be an issue with the track which I hope can get sorted out in time and does not cause the meeting to end up being a shambles. They need to seriously test it and cancel the meeting if necessary or it will do more damage than good. The track shape has at last been changed and it needs to be seen to be a success. Either team can win this but the individual scores of the riders will be interesting.
  5. Leicester needs changing to now include King and Bates.
  6. Hope that is the case especially when Swindon are at Poole
  7. Maybe they should replace Jack with N Klindt if available
  8. Feel sorry for Kyle, always willing to have a chat, hope things not as bad as thought.
  9. Agree, he would also slow down the opposition so that Cory Gathercole could come through on bend two of the first lap and sometimes stay with him for the rest of the race.
  10. But he has to follow updates for a long time rather than watch eastenders.
  11. I think the Berwick-Newcastle meeting on Saturday seemed to be completed in 90 mins which is good. With the weather as it is at the moment, ie cold and usually windy, most fans want the meeting over as fast as possible. A longer meeting on a nice sunny afternoon is not too bad, but the delays at many meetings are ridiculous, frustrating and can so easily be stopped. One of the most frustrating is on a false start that the two min warning, or pref a one min warning, should go on straight away and the pit gates should not be opened.
  12. This could be where Stadia UK, with promises to the Council, are looking to redevelop the stadium, just be careful that is does not end up like the long winded happenings at Swindon.
  13. Those Poole fans will do anything for a bit of attention
  14. If Stadia UK are involved be very wary about any Speedway continuing.
  15. I did wonder if Morra might have gone elsewhere this year as he did not improve much last year, maybe a year away might have helped him. I posted the same about Jason not being a team rider and looking after his team mate which will not help on fri in the pairs. He is very good but not a team rider like L Adams was who could slow down the opposition and allow his partner, even a second string rider come through.
  16. Did not see the meeting but not riding as a pair is something he will have to sort out next friday at Somerset.
  17. You were right hs he scored F,2,2,2,0. Jason did a lot better in the pairs meeting at Torun but he did not have enough backup from Max Fricke. He got through to the final but was beaten by P Pawlicki along with Zmarzlik.
  18. Nick Morris racing tonight at Workington in the Cumberland Open
  19. Have seen a speedway article in the local paper where comments after it are suggesting that Stadia are now waiting to see if they get a new contract to put the woof woof racing on the betting circuit in the betting shops. It seems a decision about the stadium will be made at the end of March. So both the council, and TR etc have both been fed and reported cr#p re the starting date of any build. I bet the two new investors who joined last year are happy!!!!!
  20. The meeting at Poole was abandoned due to the state of the track. After two rides each Jason had scored 3,3 and Nick 0,2
  21. Swindon will make changes if they are not performing.
  22. These two could be good signings subject to their d/u clashes, this probably makes Leicester stronger.
  23. So were they stuck on or not, not worried about the stadium any more, just remember the same individual has his eyes on Wimbourne Road.
