  1. Thanks shadowfax, I thought 42 had been mentioned somewhere but was subject to how the teams were scoring this season, but when clubs or riders actually change is the next issue.
  2. Agreed but the words simple, logical and common sense are not words that the bspa use.
  3. And what happens if one or two riders have not completed 4h 4a due to missing a meeting or two, you cannot have half the team within the 50 point limit and half within the 42.
  4. But that is how the bspa works then they wonder why they get so much flak.
  5. It was mentioned somewhere but I am not sure by who that if there were going to be rider changes that they might need to change all the clubs and riders averages at the same time otherwise it would be extremely complicated to know who could replace who and what averages would be used to see what room a club had. If they leave the team calculations till each rider has had 4h and 4a rides it would be chaos as some clubs would be on the old system and others on the new, this could also apply to riders who have missed a meeting or two . So as usual with the bspa no one has a clue as to what is going on.
  6. Ok but there has not been an adjusted team limit announced yet so it is difficult to work out how many points we have spare. Now Emils average from the website is 3.24 which if mult by 1.4 comes to 4.54 for the present 50 point limit, whereas on the bspa gs he has 4.39, so he has increased his average.
  7. We needed a couple of riders to have bad scores in April, but that did not happen. Not very good planning from the management as a team does not get to the play offs with the points it gets in April .
  8. Where do you get that from as the bspa site says 49.62 and the limit is 50, so if Emil goes who has an average of 4.39 we have approx 4.77 based on latest green sheets.
  9. Zach tonight went well for Lakeside scoring 3,3,3,1,2 12+1 in Lakesides win over Belle Vue 49 - 41.
  10. Other news re Swindon related riders tonight. Nick Morris riding for Berwick scored 2,2,3,3,2, 12 against Redcar but Redcar won 49 - 43 Stefan Nielsen scored 1,3,3,0,f in the British Semi final, unfortunately he just missed out on a place in the final Sprocket Team report on tonights meeting http://swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2863
  11. The Sprockets beat the IOW 47 - 43 tonight Zach scored 12 points Darryl scored 7 Full details of the meeting can be found on Speedway Updates The next Sprockets meeting will be at Swindon next thurs.
  12. Oh dear that is a blow, hope it is not too bad, he has a break from riding for Swindon till 18th.
  13. He is still learning how to do it properly without the ref seeing it
  14. Write up about tonights Sprockets meeting http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/15262804.Darryl_to_help_Sprockets_rock/ Tonight also sees Adam and Stefan ride at Sheffield in the 2nd British semi final.
  15. Do not forget our Sprocket team is racing at the IOW tonight, reports will be on Speedway Updates.
  16. Thanks for the link, will listen and hopefully keep updated on Speedway Updates. Swindon have a group of riders from different teams as we are only starting out with a NL team and just entering the Trophy competition. We do have two riders who do or have ridden for Swindon in Zach Wajtknecht and Darryl Ritchings. Both teams are listed on the IOW web site. I hope that all the riders have a safe meeting.
  17. Nick and Jason have two 5-1s so far in meeting Poland v Australia. Poland 8 Aus 16 after 4 heats Meeting result Poland 49 Aus 41 Jason 2,3,2,3,1 11+1, Nick 3,2,0,t,0 5+1 That was a shame for Nick as a good overall score might have come to the notice of a Polish team if he wants one.
  18. No the best bet is for Poole to drop down to the Championship
  19. Would have liked Stefan this year, but who was to know how well he would be riding, but his average at 5.14 is too high and would not fit as the team has not dropped enough points off its average. This is why before the season started I hinted that Jason might not score too many points following his injury. Emil has an average of 4.39 so at the moment I do not think Stef is an option. If the opportunity arose it might be worth giving Stefan a guest ride at Swindon to see if his scoring elsewhere so far this season can be seen at Blunsdon.
  20. Emil has been doing fine till the last couple of meetings, so like Rohan last year Rosco needs to help Emil find the reason for the down turn and see if it can be sorted very quickly before the new averages come in. If changes have been planned I am surprised at the scores of certain riders. I wonder if Rosco is hoping the comment does what it did to Rohan last year.
  21. In which case I miss understood that, apologies DC2
