You do not expect the bspa to work that out do you DR but even if they did we lost the last two away meetings at KL and Wolves so it is likely the total points for the team would go down.
Agree it has been stupid but fans expect silly ideas and rulings from the bspa. Now that Swindon has had its 4th home meeting I believe that all clubs have now had 4h and 4a so averages can be recalculated, not sure what happens about a rider who might have only had one or two meetings, and I think there will be a few more team rider changes taking place from now.
They should not be and this is another example of the "asset" system being a joke. The riders are self employed and should only ever sign up to a contract period of riding and then be free to move on. What is the point anyway the rider can pack in speedway tomorrow or just go and ride abroad so the team has an asset which is worthless.
Correct, the official figures have just been updated on the bspa website. This gives the team 2.51 points spare, added to say 2.80 gives 5.31 points available for a replacement, or if 3.80 it gives 6.31 available.
The table showing Prem averages only show Prem meetings and if you look at the number of rides it includes heat 15, ie Jason 9 meetings 44 rides, it also shows the 2017 averages which is what I assume they are going to use for the new 42 point team limit.
Prior to last night the team average was 38.5 so we have approx 3.5 plus the average of whoever is going available.
I recon you are spot on there, which is what I posted weeks ago as soon as Rohan left Zummerzet, and others have hoped and mentioned that they wanted Rohan back. Have checked Prem averages but they have not been updated yet.
There was part of bend two which caused Nicks bike to slow right down a couple of times when he was right out wide and he was lucky the opposition rider also got caught out.
That was more down to Nick riding the wrong line in that race, a lap before I mentioned to a person next to me if he repeated that line Kennett would pass him.
Those are not the averages on the bspa site under the section 2017 team Statistics where the team total is 38.5, now after todays meeting they might change a fraction.
What is really stupid is that we have all these long breaks now yet in July and Aug we have 15 meetings, if we have bad weather in those months it will be chaos.
Fans need to attend tonight as apart from a Sprockets meeting next thurs there is two week break followed by another two week break for the team after tonight.
Anyone who did not go to the Sprockets meeting might want to go to the next one as they missed a good meeting.
I think new averages only come in when all clubs have completed 4h4a, Swindon reach that point after tonights meeting, not sure about the rest of the league though.
