  1. So what? Thomsen is not a superstar, he needs to ride to gain experience.
  2. Ok, I've had a go with a side which is very local, keeps our costs down on flights. 1. Andersen - 7.56 2. Thomsen - 5.53 3. Bjerre - 7.02 4. Jepsen Jensen - 6.52 5. Iversen - 7.38 6. Palm Toft - 5.36 7. Bacon - 3.00 42.37 I would pay £20 each week to watch the above side. The above team is one that would compete in the Polish or Swedish League.
  3. Anders Thomson last average was 8.29 in the Championship if I'm correct. That would equate to 5.53. A bargain for a rider of his ability. We have so many options.
  4. On a side note, it's so refreshing to see the Premier League being so strong. A 42.5 points limit is what we have been crying out for.
  5. Bjerre and Iversen are both on really low averages, we'd be silly not to use them.
  6. Nicholls would be a poor signing; in my opinion, he isn't good enough to ride as a heat leader in the Premiership.
  7. What's the obsession with Doyle on his hefty average? With Ged's close links to Torun, I would love to see Chris & Jack Holder as our top 2, with Bjerre as our 3rd heat leader. 1. Jack Holder - 7.39 2. Kryzstof Buczkowski - 6.02 3. Kenneth Bjerre - 7.16 4. Jepsen Jensen - 6.54 5. Chris Holder - 7.16 6. Jake Allen - 4.59 7. Tom Bacon - 3.59 = 42.45
  8. Not really. Poorly performing teams draw low crowds.
  9. So pleased to be back in this part of the forum. I have missed reading the contributions of Shovlar and SteveBrum. As for the Panthers side, we have so many options. I'm told Jepsen Jensen is looking for a ride in the UK this year. We would be silly not to use him.
  10. Seems like the Panthers are the only sustainable club.
  11. Are you allowed to promote/own two teams in the same league?
  12. If Lynn come to the Showground, they would be kicked out very quickly. The Panthers ultras would not stand for this.
  13. I for one can't wait for my trips down to Poole next year. The Panthers back in the top flight will be great for British Speedway. The Pirates vs The Panthers were always cracking matches.
  14. I think what fans need is consistency in the fixture list. Asking fans to attend twice in a week is ridiculous.
  15. I will make an active effort to attend regularly next season. I currently work in London and my train doesn't get back until 7. I will look for a job in Peterborough next year.
  16. Shall I set up a thread in the Premiership section? Flagrag has pretty much confirmed it and he is in the know.
  17. Bacon is not afraid of a challenge. If he wants to head to the very top like Jack Holder has done, he needs to master big tracks. The money is in Poland.
  18. I don't need to save up. I have £25k saved up and I'm only 22. I'm going places.
  19. If we do go up to the top league, I would love to see the below riders. Jack Holder - Only going to get better and better, rides the Showground very well. Linus Sundstrom - On a very low average of 6.13, a rider full of potential. Kenneth Bjerre - On an average of 7.16, he would be a no brainer. Krysztof Buczkowski - On a 6.02, he is effectively a heat-leader around the Showground. Michael Jepsen Jensen - 6.52 is his average, capable of hitting 9+. A fan's favourite at the Showground. Holder, Sundstrom, MJJ, Buczkowski, Bjerre, Lambert & Bacon. The above would be a side that I would pay £20+ to watch every week at the Showground.
  20. Sundstrom would be a brilliant signing. Anyone else agree? He would rack up a 10 point average. He is incredibly smooth.
  21. A real shame that fans were robbed of a fitting final between the two top teams in the Championship.
  22. Decision not to take gates 1 & 3 was a poor one by Lakeside.
