  1. What a joke. NBA play-off games get organised within a few days. I don't see how British Speedway can't operate in the same manner. This has ruined tomorrow's match against Lynn. Buster will be fuming about the fans who now won't attend a dead rubber.
  2. The teams finishing 1st and 2 deserve to have their 2nd legs at home. Sheffield will need to find a neutral track IMO.
  3. I suspect they will be a lot happier. 4 evenly matched teams in the playoffs will be great for viewers. Both legs will go down to the wire. Compare that to the dross in Poland. I can't wait for next week.
  4. Sheffield have had their fun. Even with gates 1 and 3, they've not been able to build a lead.
  5. This fixture is a potential banana skin for Sheffield. They are expected to win, but the Panthers could pull off a surprise.
  6. Sheffield are favourites. Holder, Batchelor, Ellis, Howarth and Pickering are all Showground track specialists.
  7. Correction, I clearly don't know the rules. Hans is 7.05, Ulrich is 7.09 and Harris is 6.96. Based on current form, I think Hans and Harris will both pass Ulrich. Meaning we will be weaker.
  8. The bigger concern might be Hans becoming number 1. Would mean he wouldn't be able to take a rider replacement ride. Hope Rob is on the ball.
  9. Harris on his current form should have been in the Speedway of Nations side.
  10. Time to wrap up the league title. Hope Buster has the fireworks ready.
  11. Mountain is decent, but he won't have a chance against our top 5.
  12. Commiserations. Wolves fought a brave, but ultimately fruitless campaign.
  13. This Panthers side are like a dog without a bone. They don't stop.
  14. Imagine if Rob Lyon replaces Hans with Conor Mountain in heat 14... Panthers are on the verge of the league title. Huge effort to the entire team and everyone at the club. Let's hope we can now win the play-off competition. I think we should pick Sheffield.
  15. I agree. I would rather see the return of double points. A tactical switch creates an unfair heat.
  16. This idea that Batchelor needs to 'turn up' is a myth. Bachelor is finished as a top level rider. He used to be a sharp gater, but his reactions are slower. I can't see anything but a Panthers win. 43-47 would be my guess.
  17. Just looking at that line-up is depressing. One world-class rider in the entire field. Anyone else remember the days of an SWC event including the likes of Crump, Gollob, Pedersen, Rickardsson and Adams.
