  1. The derby with plymouth at the oak tree arena will be worth watching, especially with gathercole riding for plymouth. Can anybody tell me what date that particular meeting is please?
  2. Just to confirm, cory does indeed live in swindon.
  3. Ben barker is brilliant to watch at swindon too. He is one of the most exciting riders I have seen in recent times at blunsdon. If I recall correctly he was the last visiting rider to pass leigh adams at blunsdon. A very rare thing. Nice to know we have young english riders coming through who can ride both small and big tracks.
  4. Don't get the pessimists amongst you devils fans. Plenty of potential at the lower end for me. Boxall will do well for you guys. Holder is due to deliver this season. The top two will be terrific to watch home and away. I appreciate its a top heavy look but I'm predicting top 5. And my first appearance to take in the sba.
  5. That was probably holders average at the beginning of the 2009 season zodiak.
  6. Has lanham signed for them? If not I agree a season of struggle away from home. However a good chance of top 5 if he has. Can't see them beaten at home.
  7. Just can't see the management paying out so much money for barker and fisher without any success. Doesn't make business sense at all.
  8. I think plymouth fans are being rather cautious about their team and their chances this year. I reckon they are shaping up pretty well. Has lanham signed? If barker and fisher are the spearhead, then happy days, great entertainment. I will make the trip from swindon to watch on the odd occasion.
  9. Didn't realise lanham used to ride at exeter devildodger. I always thought he was a small track rider. Was he good on the scary county ground track then?
  10. I appreciate I don't know the ins and outs of what's happened with ashcroft or what bowden has done but from where I sit you guys have a decent team. Apparently healthy attendances too. I'm looking forward to visiting next year and watching some real racers in fisher barker and to a lesser extent boxall.
  11. Can't wait to check out the plymouth track. Sounds like you have good racing too. It doesn't sound like the track is too technical despite being small. Whenever I see or visit eastbourne or lakeside, they both appear difficult tracks to ride.
  12. I took part in that little feast too the white knight! I even went back for more later!
  13. Somerset is a great little track. Yes the facilities are pretty basic but that for me is part of the attraction. Parking in a field, a decent plate of chilli and chips, and almost guaranteed excellent racing. I have been there numerous times and never been disappointed. Recommend a visit to the cider farm nearby too. The scrumpy is fantastic. As for plymouuth, I look forward to visiting for tge first time this year. You guys have put together a really attractive side
  14. Sweetman won't be riding on these shores this year. He suffers badly from homesickness according to rosco.
  15. Coming from swindon piston, the place is full of roundabouts! Hopefully not the same in plymouth!
  16. Ota is a great little track. Real fast open throttle stuff. Decent facilities nowadays too. Leigh adams described it as a `fast little track` too.
  17. I prefer it close to the racing like somerset peterborough etc. Sounds like plymouth got pretty good crowds last year too. A top 3 of barker ashworth and boxall looks ok to me. Don't much about glanz or holder.
  18. Thanks blueboy. I am really looking forward to it. I try to get to somerset and newport to supplement my desire for extra speedway after my thursday night fix at swindon. With ashworth and barker at plymouth this year it should make for exciting racing.
  19. That's very kind thanks. What is the track like? I am guessing by the race times it is pretty small. Is it a racers track would you say, or more of a specialist track like perhaps eastbourne or lakeside?
  20. Thinking of visiting plymouth this season for the first time. Probably for the derby against somerset. Is the track easy to find? I will be travelling from wiltshire.
  21. Sweetman won't be returning to england next year. Rosco said at the swindon forum he suffers from homesickness.
