  1. Isn't he a 16 year old lad? I thought he had a picture of himself on his avatar when he was kris ad. Mustnt forget though, he is a genius.
  2. Absolutely amazed masters has been dropped. There must be more to it than meets the eye. Masters has loads of potential. Sure, he has half an eye on poole, but incredible decision to drop him. End of rebels chances for silverware this year.
  3. Sadly, I didn't ever get to trelawny. What was it that you liked about the place tsunami?
  4. I guess I meant denmark have the nucleus of their future sorted sid. Australia too, I agree have terrific riders who will ensure they too will push for honours. Our own nick morris is undoubtedly a star of the future. Incidentally, I agree, middlo is the best around.
  5. Its a little concerning for me that already mjj and mbj appear to have class and speed even at their tender age..they have other youngsters coming through as well. Clearly denmark are already blooding these riders who I am sure will dominate the next decade. Where are our future riders? Let's be totally honest here, there are only two. Roynon and auty. Possibly worrall. That's it. But will they progress? I don't think so. Auty can't gate and roynon unfortunately is injury prone. I appreciate I'm not saying anything original here, but another trophy less decade beckons unless there are fundamental changes to the structure of british speedway.
  6. Can anybody tell me what the open meeting is this friday please? Can't find anything on the plymouth website.
  7. Keener...he looked as small as kenneth bjerre on a speedway nachine. Saw him get badly injured at the shay one year.
  8. Does he still go? I remember seeing him there a few years back stood with brother david who didn't look well at all.
  9. Used to follow the robins everywhere in the seventies and martin always produced double figure scores at every track. Always last out of the traps though. He was able to ride all the tracks, big or small. I remember as a kid actually phoning him at his home address and asking him how the team did the night before at coventry!! He politely answered all my questions! What a top bloke.
  10. Martin was absolute mustard round blunsdon. Bend 3 and 4 was where he would make his famous cut backs. Atrocious gater, much like collins, loram, nicholls, harris. Must be an english trait sadly.
  11. Think I went to the elrc at bellevue when crash was second. Was that 75 as well? Think I was still at school but went on the swindon supporters coach. Seem to recall it being packed to the rafters that night.
  12. Ashby wilson british final 75. Ashby stalks wilson for 3 laps before edging in front on the last bend. World cup willy swoops around the outside...crash has his opportunity to gently move out to block wilson`s run, but martin was always the perfect gentleman both on and off the track...wilson wins by the width of a tyre. Long long trip back to wiltshire that night as crash only makes the world final as a reserve..
  13. The shay was unique, hyde road amazing. In the 70`s blunsdon was a great race track.
  14. Have to agree. I have a good laugh at kks. I get bored at posts in relation to stats and figures. Each to their own I suppose. Some people preach about putting other posters on ignore, yet they are quick to respond to others in much the same way on a regular basis! I find kks a giggle. Often comes out with some facts that prove he is pretty knowledgeable but then comes out with hilarious classics! All in all its good fun.
  15. Came on here this evening to find out how darryl is doing this season. I've watched him as a 15 year old on the centre green track at blunsdon. Always thought he had a neat and tidy style. Seem to recall the great leigh adams giving praise also. Has darryl progressed much from last year? Good to hear patch\rosco providing support.
  16. Its fair to say cory is better on the bigger tracks. He always rides coventry well and did a decentish job at swindon last year. He originally came from the isle of wight of course. He was awful at eastbourne and lakeside however. I agree though, once he gets dialled in at plymouth he will be fine. A definite asset away as well.
  17. Just wondering what the general feeling is amongst devils fans now that you have secured gathercole instead of boxall. Previously there wasn't much optimism for the season ahead. With gathercole providing solid middle order support and touching a seven point average in my opinion, surely you guys are feeling more positive?
  18. Its after easter builderbob..plenty of people make the trip!
  19. That might give me an excuse to blag the missus by telling her I'm taking her for a long weekend in cornwall and just mention that we will stop off in plymouth on the way down!
