  1. Give it a rest for Christ sake, do you have a b side on that broken record of yours? Even if, and it is an if, Brum pulled a fast one then we sure aren’t the first and most definitely won’t be the last to do so.
  2. "Poached", how so? Care to elaborate? The Raiders were poor at best, even Morley went backwards throughout the night. Whilst Branford may have scored a hatful, one would assume that he may not have done had he not jumped the start pretty much every single time. Whilst Brum are strong, it was still a poor poor effort from the Raiders, novices or not.
  3. Picking at something that isn't there Niamh. SCB is merely pointing out the Ward's record to date isn't bad considering his age. Not enough to be considered a great, true, but not bad. Multiple World Champions are a must in a top 20 list surely. Plenty of one off winners but to do it again and then again brings an aura of greatness. Trick being the greatest of them all 👍.
  4. Shame as was looking forward to my yearly trip to Poole. Also a shame as the weather for the rest of the weekend looks pretty good.
  5. Even though I've grown up to be a Brummie, always had a soft spot for the Bees when I was a nipper and no Perry Barr to attend. Anyone else have have a race bib with Tatum on the back?
  6. Whether Barker is fit or not, he will ride in this type of meeting. He would ride if his leg was hanging off given half a chance. Not because he should be applauded or given a mass amount if adulation, but because of his burning desire to give it the big I am. Nothing would please him more than to score the winning points in the final. I doubt whether he has indeed recovered and should not have declared himself fit after so long out considering the showpiece he was returning to. It has effectively cost Coventry a good shot at victory.
  7. Anyone know what the music track was, played just before heat 15? I've heard it at the Ben Fund and also the PLRC but can never seem to find anyone who knows. Much appreciated to anyone who can shed some light.
  8. Regarding the Stead/Josh G incident, I was stood on the 4th bend when it happened. Steady drifted wider and wider giving Josh absolutely no room whatsoever. The move was hard and potentially dangerous. It's all well and good going wide but if another rider is there surely it's not a good idea? If Nicki had done that everyone would be baying for blood. As soon as the heat finished Josh seemed to roll over the line then speed up down the backstraight after Steady. Once he caught up with him on the 4th bend, Josh seemed to lose control as he was about to give Steady some verbal and clattered into the side of him leaving them both in a heap. Initial move hard but the aftermath was an accident.
  9. Could someone confirm for me that a re-admission ticket from earlier in the season, which I've not been able to use due to other commitments, can be used at the start of the 2015 season? Thanks in advance.
  10. Does anyone know the admission prices for this yet? Can't seem to find them anywhere. Both the BSPA and Sheffield sites not showing yet. Thanks in advance.
  11. Another Brummie on holiday soaking up the sun and some good racing this evening. Darcy, Magic and Milik were different grade plus the all action Kildemand. Pretty sure it should've been all four back in heat one and Magic was sublime in heat five, well, pretty sublime all night. Highlight was heat fifteen with Darcy slowing and paving the way (with a nice, there you go, hand gesture) for Magic to round off his fine tally. Of course it will do Darcy's average no harm finishing second 😉. Swindon, North and Kildemand apart, were poor with Batch needing an attitude transplant after giving up when last. Chatted with a very nice Pirate about all sorts and took lots of condolences where my team are concerned. Do hope Shamek is ok too following the terrible looking incident with the backstraight air fence, thank God we have them. Despite all of the things that are said about Matt Ford and the shenanigans he may or may not pull, the guy clearly knows how to promote Speedway. I wish the Brummies promotion were of the same ilk on occasion. Anyhow, back to the Midlands soon without a team to follow. Well done Pirates.
  12. Fingers crossed the weather improves, in Dorset this week on holiday and making the trip over from Lyme Regis. Been raining most of the day and feeling starved of some racing after the collapse of the Brummies. 53-39 Poole.
  13. Careful. Sedgy was a bit miffed at the comments on the updates site the other night. Don't want him coming after you too 😉
