Seriously though it’s a fine balance between watering and overwatering and I guess it’s hard to judge that balance in that heat. Dropping loads of water down means riders get filled in the following heat , it may be as you say less watering more frequently but it is a thankless job in extreme temperatures as we had today.

I was considering running behind the water bowser at one point to cool down. But whilst there was some dust they managed to keep it down on such a warm day.

Sam likes a bit more dirt but with the conditions today that wasn’t possible he has been superb at home so far. Broc has been a bit hot or cold but is always liable to pop up with something when you least expect it.

Credit we’re it is due thoroughly deserved win for Edinburgh today , probably caught us at the right time with no Ulrich and his guest scoring very little. But that’s speedway we dust ourselves down and go again (literally I’m covered in dust) agree on the point on reserves one solid reserve from making a good team better. How we replace Ulrich and his points will be difficult but rider replacement would certainly have scored more today than the Berwick version of Etheridge..

Blobby usually starts the derby weekend pretty vocal. As the weekend unfolds it’s like a death in the family and goes into mourning , really miss his over confidence.
