In all seriousness the rain didn’t arrive until later than forecast I am more mystified why it wasn’t brought forward an hour or two to get the meeting completed.

Probably to get it wet.

Doesn’t suit the conspiracy theory though I would go down the humour them route and tell them they are lucky it wasn’t sunny.

Who knows but I still can’t understand why they just couldn’t have brought it forward a couple of hours. We always hate rain offs but part and parcel I’m afraid.

And rightly so.

It was always the local derbies with yourselves and Berwick and to a lesser extent Newcastle and Redcar that held them back. If we lose Edinburgh it may sway them , personally I agree much prefer we we are competing but you never know.

I would have thought the continuity would have been priority and worry about the Friday night issue when the time comes. The other thing that might be a consideration is that we may move up which has been rumoured which means we would have to change to a Monday and/or Thursday although this has been rumoured before.

Raining now on the South side for the past 30 minutes or so an early call off would help if that’s what there doing save travelling.

And rightly so If there is any Promotion that can pull a rabbit out the hat it is the Edinburgh Promotion. I would be astonished if they haven’t even explored the option of using Ashfield If everything else has been exhausted at least it buy’s them some leeway on timescale.

The local forecast has it with the Rain to arrive at 5pm but as we know they have been wrong before.

Agree but if there’s no problem councils tend to create one it’s what they do best.

It would have been ideal vey close links to the M8 and M9 Edinburgh city bypass for the A1 , Edinburgh Airport right next door and the trams a stones throw away for the City Centre. Don’t think the City Council were overly keen on the idea from what I vaguely recall was said at the time , Shame as it is in a cracking location for all transport links.

More than likely out with the BSF minority most speedway fans are in general friendly.

Mutual respect in general between both sets of fans always has been .

Put it this way if I was stranded on a deserted Island with Shovlar and a tin of beans I would eat Shovlar and talk to the tin of beans. You would get more sense out the beans.
