Edinburgh V Workington (pl) 21/6/13 @ 7.30pm

Just one last prediction for this one and then you can retire -
\ They said on Sunday it would be Wednesday or Thursday before any announcement on the new rider would be made , looking at the new averages Compton will probably replace Horwood and we still have plenty points after James Wrights points are taking out the equation for a new heat leader 7 or above which makes us far more competitive .

Really enjoyed last night's meeting and good to see the monarchs flying the flag for Scottish Speedway proving again that they will be there when the silverware is being handed out at the end of the season. -

As we all know it is not that easy all i will say is we need to make changes to be more competitive and as other teams have proved there are riders out there it is just a matter of getting the one's that can commit to a Sunday track . I haven't given up on going to Ashfield after the beating we took from yourselves i was totally dis-illusioned but i will return in the future but I will probably be selective in my meeting's -

It is all well and good with that old chestnut but how long can they expect people to fork out to watch dross week after week and why do we need to give them the whole season if i am not being given value for money, my money then i will spend it on something that gives value it's not rocket science up until now the new set up has impressed me to a certain extent but the least said about there team building skills. It is that bury you head in the sand attitude that annoys people , i have been attending for years and i have witnessed some poor sides in my time but this one takes the biscuit the rumblings of dis-content are becoming deafening around me the past few weeks with people leaving early very rarely seen before this season . Taking the supporters for granted is a very dangerous ploy to adopt they will only put up with so much. -

Another untried foriegner rarely works surely there must be some tried and tested points scorers out there at this level after all our nearest & dearest along the M8 can manage it most years whilst apart from the odd year in 10 we struggle to manage it were are we going wrong and if we cannot learn by our team building mistakes then there is something sadly wrong. Whilst the asset thing is all fair and good how much longer will the asset thing last for before it is challenged and most importantly what has it brought us compared to Edinburgh Josh & Nick whilst they have had Schlien,Jonasson,Cook,Piper,Fricke, too name a few the first two bringing in a hefty transfer fee whilst they were probably Pis**ng themselves laughing when we paid top dollar for Brady & Robert K -

I'm afraid it went flat week's ago after the initial hype i could see that it was a bottom off the league contending team before a wheel had turned the 2 untried Aussie plan has never worked before what made them think that it would work this time points wasted i am afraid to say , Apart from one or two we are not very competitive and the Hammering at home to the Monarchs was just too much to stomach . -

Well for the first time i found something else to spend my money on rather than go to the expected defeat at the hands off the Comets i know i should really have made the effort and gone but to be honest i will not pay £16 to watch defeat after defeat , and i know some will say that it is all about the speedway but it is no fun watching your team being rolled over week after week and the same excuses being made about how much they are hurting as they are fans also . Off course that may be the case but at least they get in for nothing to watch the customary defeat , what happens now who knows but i am sure there will be more than me finding alternative entertainment if this is allowed to continue rant over . -

It was indicated after the meeting was finished by Sean Courtney that there is to be a Re-vamp to the team , can't come quick enough as that was sore to watch last night and today we would struggle in the national league the way we are riding and the worse thing about it is I am serious . -

Well were do you start firstly though congratulations to Edinburgh on there emphatic victory basically they took us apart and we had no answer they thoroughly deserved there win and margin of victory . And on to us that was just unacceptable in any way shape or form we were completley outclassed in every single department after last night's shambolic display at Workington i didn't for one minute think that it could get any worse how wrong was I . Let's see what happens with the new averages and what changes can be made but surely Bager , Wright & Horwood must be under serious threat Here's hoping BTW i had to give the £16 back to my friend i was embarrassed he had to pay to watch that drivel from one side anyway -

We don't know who is or who may become available one thing we do know thing's cannot carry on the way they are and for the good of everyone concerned changes need to happen , You are right about young Joe he fully deserved to get his run in Ht 15 he was certainly on the pace and he really showed up the so called experienced riders in his attitude in how to attack the track -

The thing is George they ask us to bring a friend i took two to Workington yesterday and spent the best part of £100 they probably did also do our friends get a refund after that diabolical display At least Neil Macfarlane would have apologised to the fans on having to watch that and done something about it quickly let's see if the current promotion have it in them to do the same for the sake off keeping what fans they have they will need to -

Gazc replied to Django's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well thank christ i wasn't asked to take a friend last night it would put them off for life taking nothing away from Worky you can only beat what is in front off you but that was Diabolical from a Glasgow perspective , Basically we are a piss poor side and getting worse I have seen some pretty poor teams assembled over the years but this must rank as one of the worst . The new promotion had said last week hopefully the fans can see what we are trying to achieve at Glasgow well we can see perfectly we are trying to finish bottom off the league and with this team they shouldn't have a problem achieving that Screen & Jacobs apart i was embarrassed last night and if something is not done i fear that rather than bring a friend they will be lucky to have one man and his dog by the end of the season , I would have been better going to Glasgow yesterday and giving the £100 i spent watching that dross to a Dosser at least someone would have got some enjoyment out off it And on to today oh dear oh dear oh dear i fear that this may be the day that i get totally disillusioned and find something worthwhile to spend my money on instead of throwing it away on watching half hearted efforts apart from one or two I have attended Glasgow Speedway for more years than i care to remember but i have in all that time never been more despondant or angry with the team Not trying , Four off this side could leave tomorrow and replaced with another four Joe Jacob's we still might get hammered but at least you would get the effort Young Joe gets ten out of ten on effort alone Not a lot more you can say but bring on the monarchs it may be my last meeting for a while -

Ive got your Tiger,s scarf looked out for you for Sunday it is alway's good to convert the dark side we now have Tony back from the abyss and i am sure more to follow -
Yeah fair comment he seems to have lost something James no doubt know's himself that he seems to be stagnating to a certain extent no doubt he is more frustrated than us as he does have the talent but does he still have the desire , You only need to see today on two riders on very similar averages Magnus Karlsson and James two totally different body languages on the bike one prepared to go that extra yard for his team and the other one not I'm afraid no guessing which one we had . I feel we are a Magnus Karlsson type rider away from being a useful team as long as the correct change is made if indeed that happens and for me Mr Bager would be the rider to make way this then takes some off the pressure of James Wright to score big points every meeting as we are at the minute

Rye House V Glasgow (koc) - 20th April 2013
Gazc replied to Mimmo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
At least we have kept it close to give us a chance today But in all seriousness that must have been torture for the Rye fan's to watch last night i fear there are more big beatings coming our way on the road as we have basically wasted 16 points on the Aussies and Bager don't now why we continually go down this route as it clearly doesn't work with the small exception now & again. The promotion have done a lot right on the presentation side and stadium appearance but the most important part the Team on the track I am afraid is not strong enough plain & simple
