Workington V Edinburgh 18/10/14 19:00 Hrs (pl)
Gazc replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Congrat's to Worky on a fine win over the Smug's and there bleating on how many meeting's in a row they have now won blah blah blah although i am a neutral and not bothered who won really just glad Worky did though . -
Take it you went to Glasgow to see him for that summary.
-
NL is a non starter for reasons already stated so it will be PL or nothing IMHO as MD has also said we cannot continue running at a loss year after year hence the continual turnover off owner's . The way i see it is that if the Business is not self-sufficient on turnover then you have to look at cost's you can control and reduce these to bring the profit & loss closer together but i would imagine this has already been tried and we are still at a crossroad's. Unless there is someone wanting to speculate with deep pockets then i fear this season will be the Last for Glasgow Speedway people cannot be expected to lose money year after year on sentiment there has to be a profit sometimes or it is pointless.
-
I know you would like him but the amount off post's on Berge i get the feeling you are all at the P1ss take now .
-
I know off one club who won't.
-
Not really lack off believing the whole point is lack off info, to tell fan's at a speedway meeting 1 week before the actual meeting itself then us the home Fan's having to find out through this forum from opposing Fan's after a conversation with one off the promoter's and i use the word promoter loosely at the PLRC is p1ss poor and un-proffesional
-
We would have abolished if we had got independence so until the next referendum comes about were stuck with it so he rides for us or we send him to the Buckfast bottling plant hard labour Dept.
-
No thats just North on the A1 no sat nav required just follow the smell off smugness in the air were West off that thankfully. So would most teams i suspect but he is well and truly earmarked for a Glasgow return next year.
-
Probably not and If any rider does not want to ride for you asset or not then what can you do they will ride were they want basically on young Berge though if as i say we are running then there is only one place he will be riding and it is North West of Berwick.
-
I think you will find he has after his return from his first injury and is a full asset off Glasgow as off 4th August against Scunthorpe, nice try not that being an asset means anything much these Day's
-
Only way that could happen is if we are not running next year so pipe dream my friend but nothing wrong with your optimism your No 2 however may just happen.
-
P1ss up and brewery spring to mind lack off info to the most important people at any club is pretty poor how the hell do they expect to increase numbers if the most basic of information cannot be relayed. They keep telling us via the programme notes on crowd numbers needing to increase but they need to get there house in order first before anything else another PR balls up from those in charge. It states on the Club's official website as follow's Next Team action is next Sunday 28th Sept against the Newcastle Diamonds with Tapes Up AT 3PM.

Forgot to add it must have been comforting to finally see Wolbert riding for Edinburgh again today because he wasn't riding for us that's for sure. Sure if we consult with Fred he will let us know what day we will be racing and how much we pay the Riders and most probably everything else we need to know Armadale Gossip you cannae beat it .

Predictable outcome still doesn't make it any easier to take continually getting turned over by the Monarchs if only we had the know how to team build the way they do along the M8 which they seem to do year after year. If we do run next year here's hoping we can put a team on track that will be challenging at the business end off the season for a change we deserve something to cheer us up oh and one victory against the Monarchs would be nice just one Bur fair play to them they really are a formidable outfit and Whilst Scunthorpe are showing some form lately i can only see Somerset stopping them but I would plump for Edinburgh to shade it and they would be Deserving champions this year with the consistency they have shown throughout.
