  1. As i say i will await official confirmation from the club before they need a plan B if indeed that is what happens but i take your point on the statement i personally have wondered how he would meet the required criteria set out as he missed last season & hasn't participated in state championships. Alex Davies & Kozza seem to be pretty similar cases and as previously stated in another thread it is hard to see how they can get a visa as they do not meet the criteria but we shall wait and see what the final outcome shall be.
  2. Im sure we have but haven't seen anything announced that he has been refused yet think i will wait on official confirmation rather than hearsay.
  3. Didn't think that would be allowed in a family orientated Australian Soap but whatever floats your boat Blobby.
  4. Now now Davy there will be some on here that will believe you. In that case any chance they can sort Kozza out.
  5. Kozza & Alex Davies seem to fall into the same category yes both have the required average in terms off the criteria but both achieved this average in 2013 which puts into question will this be valid in the decision making process and what argument Glasgow & Scunthorpe can make to help there cause , it may have been easier to make this decision if both had missed last season due to injury. I personally cannot see them both obtaining the visa from UKV&I as missing last season should hinder both riders from obtaining the visa but the decision for both is i believe the landmark one in terms off what the precedence will be. Either way we should find out very soon.
  6. Maybe not a trick as such as Theo was always avaliable for any team that could fit him in and that place became an option at Scunthorpe he was alway's going to get snapped up sooner or later but Theo is no more a 2nd or 3rd heatleader as back up he was only No 1 last season due to our real No 1 being absolute gash but he will not let you down he is and will continue to be a very reliable performer good piece of business as a short term replacement for Douglas. And it really wouldn't surprise me if Theo retains his place even when Douglas is fit and someone else is sacrificed he really is that reliable.
  7. Very reliable rider and i like most others thought that Theo should have been back once he is dialled in to EWR he will not let you down away form is ok but not great but can come up with the big ride just when it is needed all the best to Theo down Scunny way.
  8. You are spot on with that one. Don't think it has anything to do with that regardless off peoples opinion which they are entitled to i am sure both sets off fans will give Theo a night to remember
  9. But we didn't put him at No 1 due to the assessed average he was then the highest in the team average wise whilst the rider signed to be No 1 was riding like a 3 point reserve so not really an argument is there whilst i agree with you in regards to Dilger etc etc your original point to my outrage as you put it at our No 1 losing 2 points is less relevant to an assessed young rider dropping to his level with potential to improve and you are being serious there . Or would you be happy to turn up every week to watch your No 1 pootle round the back more often than not without a care in the world. Why wouldn't we be happy with him being on a 3 that after all is his average the last time i checked which there should be some improvement in or what would you rather we do leave him out and do what he is an asset on a true average and building the strongest team possible is the name off the game and if that is about self interest then were happy, but please let us know why you are so unhappy you had consultation with Mr B by any chance . By the way just checking on the highlighted bit off your post do you know what assessed average means the only problem we had with team building was not HIS ASSESSED AVERAGE it was Wolberts average nosediving anyway can't put it across any easier iil leave this To Edinburgh fan's to discuss Edinburgh you clearly think well I'm not really sure what you are getting at apart from a wind up.
  10. The difference that you chose to ignore or may not be aware off is that one was an untried Swede who we knew was no more than a reserve with possible potential whilst the other was a proven performer signed as a No 1 but either chose or couldn't ride like the No 1 he was signed for hardly a comparison is it or are you just ignoring this fact to have a pop.
  11. Thats 100% correct in fact the biggest incompetent has actually got a team place ironically at Edinburgh due to his average lowering by 2 points the irony eh.
  12. Theo first & foremost is an Edinburgh man but when he rode for us through the West he loved it and when the fan's could see the level off commitment and pride Theo took riding for the stripes accepted him as one off there own so for that reason I and most off the Glasgow supporters will be joining our Edinburgh rivals in showing support to a rider that fully deserves both our support. Our choice to do so wether the detractors think it is right or not and for that reason Theo will enjoy a huge turn out on the night and as far as we are concerned IT IS FULLY DESERVED.
  13. I am sure both sets off fans of the Scottish speedway divide will attend in numbers very likeable person and has been a good servant to the sport North off the border. He is equally liked by both us & the Monarchs fans just a shame neither the Scottish clubs could fit Theo in this season but who know's what will unfold once the season starts hopefully he will get a spot sooner rather than later hope Theo gets the turn out he deserves .
  14. Nearly choked on my coffee laughing when i seen this bit after the nonsense you have posted on takeovers etc etc pot & kettle Mr B.
  15. Mr B instigated it mentioning Glasgow that is why people get P*ssed off it is a Rye thread and there was no need to involve Glasgow but he just can't help himself.
  16. Don't read that gutter press very few up here do there sales have plummeted but a tongue in cheek comment. Still the reference Mr B made was the Fan's are making the comparison which it is clearly not and that is what riles him not to be taken seriously and it's no wonder it made you laugh. Perfectly calm I just cannot get my head round why you continually feel the need to bring Glasgow Speedway into almost every post you make there is nothing wrong with banter but some off the gash you have spouted is bordering on me having to bring an in-junction out against you. The last bit off the sentence was merely a joke before anyone goes off on one But why did you feel the need to involve Glasgow on a Rye Thread you don't hide your Dis-like off Glasgow which is fair enough but your obsession is poor at best predictable but poor all the same I will leave this thread to the Club it was Started for RYE HOUSE rant over.
  17. He falls into the same category as Kozza Smith if as you say he was born here then the question is why did he have Visa difficulties last year after he signed with Plymouth. If the wording in terms off averaging of 7 points or more applies from the previous season then Davies & Smith will in all likelihood be refused i hope this is not the case for both but if the rules are applied correctly both will sit out British speedway again.
  18. You are having a laugh Blob man the Man City bit never came from our side look closer to home and after reading some off the drivel you post about you were told this & that about Glasgow then yes you appear to be more concerned about us rather than your own lot smugville.com. I really couldn't care less what your lot do or don't do i am just glad we have some stability for a change instead of the uncertainty every close season you would think rather than continually criticise what we do or demean the fact that we are spending money you would have more to say about what your own promotion have done in building another on paper strong team. Tiresome very Tiresome. Anyway why bring us into it on a Rye Thread you really are obsessed about all thing's Glasgow the number off times you post about us on Threads not concerning us is Laughable.
  19. I don't think he will end up with us if Kozza doesn't get the visa i think Piper or Nieminen would be ahead of Garrity.
  20. Looks a fair summarisation looks like not coming over last year may work against him for this.
  21. I would rather to look at it as he achieved his 7 point average required and had a year out due to visa issues therefore i would like to think this would not affect the outcome. But until i hear from official sources off the ruling wether Kozza gets his visa or not then all this speculation is well just speculation. As usual though the most important people the fan's are left to speculate rather than being kept updated by the authorities.
  22. Wouldn't read too much into the figure quoted by smod pluck a figure out the air double it and multiply by 4 that is what he thinks so just post's regardless with no evidence to back it up.
  23. Thankfully i have no relations that support the dark side and if i did they certainly wouldn't be good .
  24. Far too much if indeed this is the case . But then again Man City pay over the odds for player's .
