  1. And that is how it should be to a certain extent hopefully it doesn't leave a sour taste.
  2. So you have cleared the confusion up i understand what you are saying in the highlighted part but is it not our promotions right to protect Glasgow Speedway just the same i am not disputing what you say but i am sure we will be given an update on our promotion's view on thing's tomorrow as you have so kindly given your view on thing's it may well be the same or it may not. I have never denied it if you read my post's what i have said there is two sides to every story .
  3. No problem Rob had asked and i told him i didn't know what was said and he kindly told me.
  4. I have got tablets you can use for your short term memory loss my fellow bear wouldn't offer these untested black market purple tablets to anyone or you can order them from www.whatsitewasthatagain.com and you don't even need to pay me I'm using you as a guinea pig before i try them only too happy to help a fellow bear. Ah the sarcasm George your sounding more like me with every post .
  5. Exactly us mere mortals are only second guessing Rob is more in the know than most on here i would just like to think that we wouldn't go back on an agreement if that is the case.
  6. I read it that way as well but the point that Nagy 1 has made is it was totally down to Scunthorpe wether we spoke to David or not to then try and tell us on the makeup off our team for the Friday fixture is not there desicion to make if we chose R/R or as it turned out the guest option it is our decision to make and i don't think there is a team out there including Scunthorpe that would bow to that request. The David Howe signing is totally separate to the gripes by many on the guest scenario and should remain as such it was down to them to decide if we could sign him or not which to there credit they allowed but it is not down to them or anyone else to try and dictate what our team makeup should be for a meeting. I would like to think we didn't agree to what has been said because if we did agree then go back on it after the signing and used Covatti anyway then it is pretty poor but as i have said in a previous post i would be surprised if we did agree to that request as our management are not the type to shaft anyone. Can you elaborate on second guess as Rob has kindly told us what was said but what you are saying really is that we can sign David Howe if you don't use a guest which we were entitled to if you use a guest you can't sign him at the moment what difference would it have made in reality as we would have used Covatti for James anyway and R/R for Kozza in all likelihood we would have scored more than the 4 David scored from as Rich would have had another ride. I am not privy to the discussions and don't claim to be i would be very surprised though if we had agreed to that it is the same in all walks off life there will be two sides to every story.
  7. Fair do's Rob but no i didn't hear what Rob Godfrey said i am sure he is saying what he believes be interesting what our take is on those comments and if this agreement was in place i am sure we will have our version off what was said and Rob G has his but as i have now read some posts since i got back in i see nagy1 has referred to there being no agreement which knowing our management team would seem more plausible as they are not in the habit off shafting anyone. But it is not as simple as that Glasgow had provided details off there team line up 3 days prior to the meeting with Covatti included as a guest for James who was riding for Coventry last night but was then injured on Wednesday after the team was declared either way he was going to miss last night as he was due to ride for his parent club and under the rules we had the facility to field a guest which we have done legitimately wether people like it or not.
  8. Dubious in what way we were entitled to a guest facility simple as Sergeant was due to ride for Coventry last night and the guest was named before his injury as you have to 3 day's prior you should be looking at your own team for not performing better rather than blame Glasgow for something that they were entitled to, Hardly a hollow victory we loved it should sit down and read your last sentence it really does smack off bitterness.
  9. BSPA confirmed that a guest still applies I'm guessing it was because it was declared prior to his injury but now that he is out due to the injury picked up on Wednesday I would have thought that the facility would have been changed to R/R but you can never second guess some off there rulings.
  10. Await with baited breath on the onslaught on how this was able to happen from the usual suspects.
  11. Looks like the may part came into consideration in rule 16.2.9 Welcome to the stripes David .
  12. Never stopped them before (Not applying the rules). They should invite Sepp Blatter to work with them he is looking for work even with his past history he is probably more transparent than what is there.
  13. Well with no word on how the appeal went then it is safe to say we won't be signing Howe, why people are allowed to make desicions with a clear conflict of interest is beyond me will just need to accept it and move on I heard we are trying to sign a new Chinese sensation Sum Ting Wong.
  14. Always get the keyboard commandos stating rules and making there own conclusions will never change no point really as thankfully it is not there decision to make.
  15. Also heard today it was Howe seems by what Stewart said today regards correspondence with the BSPA is that the change is being forced due to Kozza's terrible injury and team would not have been re-declared otherwise will need to wait on the decision whatever they decide really depends what side off the bed they get out. Good to see people digging deep for Kozza today from both sets off fans big well done to all and a large sum for Kozza best wishes on a speedy recovery he will be missed .
  16. Looked to be holding his hand but walked back unaided to the pits after treatment hopefully nothing to serious has really come on since the last time i saw him at Ashfield rode well today.
  17. I was at the other side off the stadium so couldn't see what kicked it off what i did see was Cook head butting Lawson and you are correct he was on fire today and deserves all credit for that but that action is uncalled for regardless but done & dusted now. Ah thank you Mr know it all now we have confirmation so nothing to see here Blobby has spoken we can close this thread now.
  18. Yep i can take that totally deserved it today m8 at least you have some class about you unlike your fellow armchair fan who only shows face to make smart*se comments but enjoy your celebration until the next time. Cook tried to headbutt Lawson after the race can never understand why you try to headbutt someone wearing a crash helmet defeats the purpose.
  19. Well how unpredictable is this sport after Friday we should have been on a high but all the credit goes to the Monarchs today if we outfought & outgated them on Friday then the same must be said for the Monarchs today only Rich for us looked likely to trouble them. So through gritted teeth Congrats to the Monarchs today but i am sure we will bounce back for whatever reason we just were not on it today Lawson apart One last thing as much as Cook is a talented rider he really needs to grow up his antics in heat 13 were poor at best and needs to show the same class to his opponents as he does on track but this does not deter from a deserved Monarchs victory & well done to them on bouncing back after Friday we must do the same now if we are to be regarded as serious contenders. Didn't see much off you on Friday but your smart reply shows your true class or lack off it in your case.
  20. Now who would do a thing like that especially after last night with a weakened team ?.
  21. Ah that old chestnut again 5 years later and still harping on about it if a reasonable argument cannot be conjured up we will wheel this one out and simmo isn't even a Glasgow fan so would doubt he is even interested the same as we aren't we have moved on from that night but clearly you lot have not. To be fair was being facetious on routine and expected i would have been happy with a point with no Nick but was totally unexpected to win we are just glad we have a competitive team to watch rather than what we have had to endure since 2011.
  22. what about a small wager Mr B if you are that confident if we win you pay £20 to the collection for Kozza. If you win I will double it to £40 can't say fairer than that and with Nick missing there is a chance you may well win small but a chance.
  23. Were have we heard that before and it came back to spectacularly bite you on the erse.
  24. Josh G hopefully. Aye the smugness years are coming back to bite Youngy looks like it is more than us that don't like you very much .
