  1. Not the only team to be plagued by injuries we have all had them at some point and yes we are lucky that we got the new owner's when we did or we probably would have no Speedway to watch at Glasgow. And yes i am complaining about the meeting as it was absolute dross regardless if i paid £5,£10.or the £15 it cost it is my perrogative and any other paying supporter to say it how it they see it and that was dross as i say Rye were stuck between a rock and a hard place after last night with injuries. But it was worse than a poor meeting Kennet & to a lesser extent Lykke watching rider's more than half a lap behind does not represent good value but not a lot you can do about it due to the issues Rye faced being honest they probably could have done without it after the double header last night and how it unfolded fair play to Eddie Kennett though apologising to Stewart Dickson on bringing such a weak team.
  2. Totally agree if it's possible next week should be arranged was announced today Kauko will be practicing on Friday in Finland and all being well he should be good to go don't know the Todd Kurtz situation on how long he will be missing ?
  3. Not complaining not really a lot Rye could do at such short notice but it was by far & away the worst meeting that i have seen and the fan's were short changed with zero entertainment value whatsoever. Teams put together are done on budget's to suit this year we are in the privileged position to afford a half decent team, years gone by we didn't would you rather we put together a team we couldn't afford and maybe close or put one together that was sustainable but not that strong a no brainer i'm afraid.
  4. Would hope not with no meeting next week would hope that we can try and get the first leg on next week if possible as leaving it to the reserved dates is not leaving much leeway another possibility is a mid-week night before then with the floodlights now installed. Same every year though with trying to cram meeting's in at the end off the season leaving to chance the October weather hopefully it can be agreed before then.
  5. We have the League cup Final against the dark side 25th Sept at Armadale & the return on the 27th Sept we have the 4th Oct reserved for play off fixtures but funnily enough no meeting at home next week. So our leg looking like the 4th Oct and would imagine your leg the 2nd Oct not leaving much leeway if the weather play's up which is very likely in October, but all the best to the Devils in both legs with a Tiger's victory on Agg could go either way and a big well done on reaching the Play offs refreshing to see both off us in contention at the business end.
  6. Looking forward to it hope both teams have there full compliment off 7 riders available Nieminen for us and T Kurtz for the Devils should be a cracker.
  7. Was replying to a previous post regarding Blantyre with no reference to today's debacle.
  8. Don't really remember the Blantyre day's much and can't remember going to Craighead park at all but looking back we were a one man team in those day's happily it is moving in the right direction now.
  9. To be fair the track was tricky from the outset improved slightly then we had a very heavy shower just before heat 10 which saturated an already greasy track so not really surprising considering the score at that stage. Probably the worst meeting i have seen in a long time, Kennett apart in one race watching the Tigers half a lap ahead in most races was not good entertainment. So are you saying Rye House are the modern day Glasgow .
  10. As yet no confirmation as to the make up off the Rockets With both Jacobsen & Lambert injured last night ? Glasgow. 1. Richard Lawson 2. James Sarjeant 3. Aaron Summers 4. R/R Kauko Nieminen 5. Nick Morris 6. Victor Palovaara 7. Hynek Stichaeur Rye House. 1. Edward Kennett 2. R/R Luke Bowen 3. Kasper Lykke Nielsen 4. ? 5. ? 6. Danny Maasen 7. Ben Morley
  11. Jack Holder should be in with a shout surely .
  12. Well done to the Comets looks like Hynek had another good meeting after last week.
  13. Think he will be back were he belong's next season hopefully.
  14. Full off yourself aren't we but we prefer not to get involved in rash comments until after the meeting once dates are agreed you on the other hand must go through rofl after roll off toilet paper with all the sh*t you spout.
  15. Did yous aye You might have offered but it didn't suit get over it
  16. The Monarch mentality I'm afraid they really think it revolves round them and them only. If this Friday doesn't suit us then tough you didn't exactly say too much about Ipswich missing key riders in the semi but then again that suited you You really need to get out more rather than having cheap shot's at Glasgow there is more important issue's happening rather than wether we decide not to race this Friday because you say so
  17. Fair do's Mr B think we are all guilty off that from time to time.
  18. Bit harsh Mr B gloating on the fact a club may close because his opinion differs from your's. He is entitled as much as the next person to form his opinion of Cook. I couldn't care less what Cook does or doesn't do as he rides for another team apart from mine, but to say that club may close because off fan's like him is just plain wrong. For the record I and many other true speedway fan's hope Berwick do not close and I respect there opinions might not alway's agree with them but respect them all the same you should do similar Mr B.
  19. Is it whatever that means. Bottom line we will agree a date that suits us not you not too difficult to understand surely even for you.
  20. How did Anders get on looks like not too bad a debut ?.
  21. Really enjoyed that tonight even although we lost the meeting in all honesty neither team deserved to lose really going at it hammer & tongs and thought after Ht 13 we might nick it but credit to the Comets for coming back at us. Speedway was the winner tonight an absolute cracker off a meeting if this is what is served up at Worky then hopefully they will attract more paying customers as that racing deserves more fan's .
  22. I wouldn't bother even replying to that he is one off blinkered vision and the reason he say's what he does is to get a reaction let's be honest most riders struggle to get round the toy track.
  23. Let me answer that on Tsunami's behalf NO. I get slaughtered for mentioning sarcasm on there thread but it appears the one rule for them syndrome.
  24. Know exactly how you feel it does get frustrating especially when not just us but most teams are weakened due to injuries not a lot you can do about it except get on with it.
