  1. It was a pity the way that this materialised and could have been avoided, the paying public always want to see seven man teams preferably there own seven but that is not always possible. It appears to be a massive own goal by the P'boro team manager, he really should have kept his thoughts to himself and the situation would not have happened, I am sure Ben would probably have scored more than 8 points which would have meant they would have stood a better chance of at least a point. A lesson learned hopefully well you would like to think so.
  2. I was replying to a point made in a previous post who saw it differently to how you see it interpretation is different to some. But it was only a couple off weeks ago he had a pop at a Berwick fan on here,so he has previous on this type of thing. He certainly knows how to ruffle a few feathers there is no doubt about that.
  3. Dick Barrie is a hypocrite of the highest order always has and always will be. He comes on here preaching to the same fans he is criticising in the programme. What Dick fails to grasp is the right to have freedom of speech wether it is on here or anywhere for that matter, without the many loyal fans that pay there money unlike him there would be no club. Yes Dick another case off foot in mouth disease,I am sure your bosses will be ecstatic to see another rant at the lifeblood off the club just because it doesn't fit in with your opinion.
  4. Glasgow management bent over backwards to help Ben, even helping financially to get engines but he turned up week after week on flymo's and I won't get into the other things that happened lets just say it was odds on he wasn't a favourite . Good to see Ben has picked his form up though still a talented rider.
  5. Enjoyable nights racing in the sunshine what i liked when some are having an off night the rest step up to the plate, both Dan & Richie not scoring what we are used to & Nike, Rich & Aaron all put in impressive performances both Dan & Richie looked down on power all night but both chipped in with important race wins when it mattered. I have never seen a more impressive rider put so much effort in without getting a race win what a talent young Jack Holder is and a joy to watch , both Starke and Ostergaard had impressive heats which meant it was always close to an extent, had Bomber been there P'boro may have got closer but the low scores by Dan and Richie offset that to a degree they won't score as low as that as a pair at home again this season. But it takes two teams to produce a good meeting and both teams deserve plaudits for giving an enjoyable nights entertainment well done to both.
  6. As far as I am aware his 4.17 average would have a conversion rate for the championship, what that rate is hasn't been made public, strange that as the BSPA were wanting to be transparent allegedly.
  7. I fear there are plenty fans out there considering turning there back on the sport next season. I am so dis-illusioned with all the rules and make things up as we go along attitude that I will be one off the many who walk away. What happened to the transparency it has now become a joke sport and blame lies at the door of the BSPA. We at Glasgow have a bring a friend initiative which has been a roaring success but once new fans fully understand the stupid rules we have on guests, riders riding for different teams etc,etc how long will it take for the novelty to wear off. The BSPA had a big opportunity to radically transform the sport in the winter but only succeeded in polishing up a turd and it is still a turd , the only way the sport has any chance is removing the governing body with there agendas as unfit for purpose and replace with a no affiliation outside entity. Speedway is dying a slow death in this country and a simple sport as it should be has become a complete waste off time
  8. Not the answer fans want to hear when they are spending there hard earned cash to follow there team, then lose interest due to poor team choices and patronising replies from you.
  9. Richard has had one poor meeting all season and is averaging well over 9 points,of the three Richard is currently the highest averaged.
  10. The second name after Terrace seems to be not far off the mark. You should be thankful you managed to get two quality guests for your top two.
  11. Dan rode well as he usually does made one howler from the gate, but so intellegent on track for one so young.
  12. Surprisingly easy tonight not sure if we were that good or Sheffield were that bad think the former may be favourite. Have to Congratulate Lasse Bjerre on a very good visiting performance just as well really or it would have got to silly proportions score wise. For us every single rider done there job and not one failure in a very dominant display. But how well has young Jack progressed you can see how much more confident he has become.
  13. It was a Redcar fan with the binoculars can't recall who it was it will be somewhere in that thread. Still trying to get my head round why you would take binoculars to a meeting.
  14. True have to say he done a better job than the work to rule mob that were attempting to fix it slowly.
  15. Can see it being very busy again tonight I have another 5 newbies tonight and the six last week loved it and plan to attend tonight. Taking into account the bring a friend initiative 1100 paying customers is still impressive, some clubs out there can only dream of getting that amount Our owners are showing how it should be done.
  16. Our cut be in the post but Bacs transfer is better.
  17. Never sit on anything green so not affected by this generous charge.
  18. I have been banging on about an independent company with no club affiliations for ages. Not likely to happen though too many people's self interests would suffer , only way I can see the sport restore some credibility though before it is too late.
  19. Our heatleader trio have been supberb all season so not going to slate them on one performance. Peterborough must get all the plaudits from me,and shows some on here that continually slate them exactly what they can do. We have to just move on from this it happens but no concerns from me on this Glasgow team we will be there or thereabouts at the business end. But we'll done to the Panthers on doing what nobody else has this season.
  20. Nothing against Pboro at all but as a Glasgow fan any result would be nice today a point and anything else is a bonus. Firstly hope it is a good meeting and all riders stay safe.
  21. Track grading did us no favours again, stopped any momentum and they packed it down that much it seemed to suit Ipswich far more than prior to that. You would have thought after last season they would have learned , they even admitted themselves that they got it wrong and it wont hapoen again. After last night it apoears they forgot or are unable to get things right frustrating is an understatement. Question to Ippo fans that see him far more than me, what has happened to Justin Sedgemen he looked like a junior in some heats not the rider i remember whilst with Edinburgh. But Ipswich fought back well mainly thanks to the Glasgow teack crew in preparing the track to suit there needs.
  22. To be fair when you read some other fans points on other threads it appears that it is widespread at most tracks. Seems to be more poor than good at the minute.
