  1. Some big crashes tonight,Garrity cartwheeling down the back straight looked very nasty. I hope he is ok. Todd Kurtz walked away after another nasty crash. Then Charlie Wright did the same as Garrity on the home straight but after a trip to the first aid room came back out and took his last ride, unbelievable but that's what speedway riders do. The meeting was very good plenty of overtaking and Dimitry Berge was brilliant blasting around the boards. It should be close tomorrow I think it all depends on the guests, but good luck to the Tigers.utt
  2. This should be a close match. The Tiger's will need all the points they can get to have a chance in the second leg. It will be interesting to see how many turn up with England playing. Tigers to win +12, I hope.utt
  3. Well done the Sheff Tigers, Broc Nicol was very impressive looks like he took advice from Mr Stead. He can gate and not afraid to open the throttle. He did really well on a big track like Owlerton. He fell in his last ride trying to go around the outside, that's how to ride Owlerton. George Woods just needs a few more laps to get dialed in and the points will come. Glasgow were very disappointing expected a lot better show.
  4. Massive crash between Barker and Parkinson Blackburn. Don't really know what happened it looked like Barker lost control of the bike or something went wrong with the bike.It happened coming onto the straight in heat13, Blackburn to close ran straight into Barker, bikes and bodies all over. Blackburn dislocated shoulder. Barker looked to come off with a lot more than that. Put on a backboard and neck brace, i saw him put in the city ambulance and he was on oxygen. but fingers crossed it looked worse than it really was.
  5. New averages out next week. Could be a change after that. We definitely need one. Jan struggling in the number four slot also Jack Smith finding it hard. utt.
  6. Just a bit too much for the Tigers tonight. We only had four riders tonight, so a draw was a good result. Howarth should not have ridden, looked like he was in trouble in is first ride. I don't know what people thought Graversen was going to do, in the main body of the team in is first meeting was always a big ask. Smith struggled and Shanes was the rider of the night for me. He kept us in it. Wright and Bjerre back to back rides just to much to ask. The Tigers with a full team would have won that meeting hands down. UTT.
  7. Yes they do, big wide open spaces. A bit like the showground. It should be a good meeting. UTT
  8. This should be another good meeting. If we have our gating heads on we should win this 12+. I don't know if Jan has been getting some laps in but it could take him a few laps to get on the gas. I hope Lasse has sorted the bikes out, if not it could be a struggle for the tiger's. We need all three heat leaders to do their thing. UTT.
  9. Big ask in main body of team. But it should take the pressure of the reserves. But Jan will give it a right go, so let's all get behind him. utt
  10. Well done to Newcastle a good win. Lasse did not finish a race , and that is not good enough. One race the bike can have a problem but to not finish a race, sorry not on . Did he not have a spare bike. Anyway onwards and upwards, the posh next up and that should be a cracker. utt
  11. I thought that Proctor saved your blushes a bit in both meetings. Looking at those two matches i think Redcar are in for a long season.
  12. I just hope we don't have any stupid backlash from Mr Barkers antics at last night's match. The ref need's to have a word with those involved. It should be a good close match. Hoping for at least a point for the Tigers. utt
  13. Nobody around me saw anything going on between Kyle and Barker in any of their races. Maybe a bit of close racing between Charlie and Barker, but nothing like Barker does all the time. If you dish it out you should be able to take it back They all need to be warned before the return match on friday. We don't want anyone getting hurt.utt
  14. This should be another victory for the Tigers. I just don't think the Bears have enough firepower to worry the Tigers. I will take a 15+ score. If the meeting is anything like last weeks Scunny match that would be great. Fingers crossed for the weather. utt.
  15. I thought Lasse was a bit down on power last night. He did not seem his usual self, blasting around the outside. utt
  16. That was a great meeting with some fantastic racing. Todd Kurtz kept us in the meeting early on with some great gating and riding. The Tigers did what they did a few times last season, not so good for the first half of the meeting . But then came on very strong in the second half of the match. Charles Wright looks really dialed in to the track and looks full of confidence. We need Josh Bates back and that will take the pressure off riders taking that extra ride, especially away from home. Scunny look to have a half decent side this season so they should be a lot more competitive this season. Be interesting how the Tigers go tonight at Scunny. I don't think Auty will have the same problems as he did last night. So it should be another good meeting. utt.
  17. This should be a cracker. Lawson, Auty and Garrity go well round Owlerton. But if the Tiger's ride anything like they did against Newcastle they should win this. Howarth, Bjerre and Wright should be a match for the bear's top three. The two Tigers reserves could have a big bearing on the outcome of this meeting. The weather should be ok, so roll on Thursday. utt.
  18. The rule was changed before any meetings had been run. But i don't know why. Does anyone know?
  19. Yes Charles was really on the gas. When he missed the gate he was flying around the boards, no fear very good to watch. He will be a great signing for the Tigers.utt
  20. A very easy win for the Tigers. Watching Charles Wright flying around the boards on the second bend reminded me of a certain Mr Stead with his riding style, great to watch. Howarth and Bjerre looked as though they have carried on from last season. Kurtz was the same, if he could get a doubling up place i think he could really kick on. The two reserves looked very promising, both can gate and looked on the pace. They will only get better. So overhall very good. I know it was only the first match but it will be a very long season for the Newcastle on that showing. utt.
  21. We have not turned a wheel and some people are not happy. I think it is fair that the Redcar fans have a chance to see their team at a reduced price, because the match last season was not up to scratch. If home fans go every week i don't see a problem. It just seems fair that the Redcar who usually bring a few fans have the chance of the reduced price. But that only me. utt.
  22. Well hear we go again, the start of another speedway season. It's clear blues skies and the track should be perfect. I can only see a Tigers win. It will be interesting how Shanes and Smith go. Howarth and Bjerre looked very good in Steadys meeting last Sunday, well on the pace against the premier boys. I think Wright will be very good around Owlerton once he gets dialed in to the track. Mr Stead will be just the guy to help all the new guy's with all the info on the best way around Owlerton. So come on you Tigers let's have another great season and all the riders stay safe whoever they ride for. utt.
  23. I was at the Stead meeting on Sunday and all the rider's stayed on their bikes no problems, even Lasse Bjerre who always does plenty of gardening , he is a small guy so that about it effecting small rider's does not hold up as far as i am concerned. Call them up to the tapes and go. It make you wonder if the bspa no what they are doing or am i being to critical.
  24. So why have they changed the rule again ?
