Peterborough v Ipswich Sunday 5th August

Many years ago Ben Howe fenced Ronnie Pedersen by carrying straight on the first bend and not turning left 1 inch. That was 100% definite sorry just seen that this incident has been posted before -
Peterborough v Ipswich - Sunday 17th June CS

I thought it was the KFC on London Road opposite the football ground. Couldn't find a parking spot so left his van in the drive through lane completely blocking it. Or maybe that's a different story? -
So you wanted to sign Nicholls and Kennett and end up with Morris and Lawson on a lower combined average. Shouldn't you be thanking the BSPA?
-
Which means if they sign Howarth as predicted everywhere they would have 5.05 left for the final place so Todd Kurtz won't fit
-
We need to assemble a team that will be strong at home before we start looking at how we're going to do away. Kurtz can ride our track like a heatleader so yes I do think he's a bargain on 5.23. Hopefully away can be covered by our shiny new No,1 (using T/S) or an inform reserve.
-
I'm not keen on Kennett due to his silencer cheating a few years ago but he did have a 9.27 average with Rye House in 2016 so IMO worth a punt on 8.31 As for Kurtz I'm not looking at his away form ... we need riders who go well at home so maybe you should take a look at Todds performances for Plymouth at the Showground in 2016 :-) .... 5.23 = bargain

Eddie KENNETT ........... 8.31 Todd KURTZ ................. 5.23 Nike LUNNA .................. 5.90 Michael PALM TOFT ..... 6.77 Ulrich OSTERGAARD.... 7.12 Simon LAMBERT .......... 4.56 Emil GRONDAL ............ 4.39 42.28

The 6 pt rule being dropped may have changed team building options
-
Surely if the alternative fixture had priority then a facility would have been granted?
-
I agree that releasing Holder from the 4TT was against the rules of that competition and Panthers deserved to be punished. Holder missed the Newcastle and Scunthorpe league matches and we didn't get a facility to cover as per the rules. Again I've no issue with that but there have been numerous other instances in the last few seasons when the same thing has happened, a rider missing and no facility. Can't remember any other promoter getting a fine when a rider missed a league match with the blessing of his club ?
-
Holder 8.99 Proctor 7.15 ??? 2.00 Won't happen of course but in theory it is possible !!! Jack: I feel guilty about letting Pboro down last season. Is it ok if Panthers fixtures take precedence this season? Torun: Of course, no problemski!! Hmmm,,,,, ok maybe not :-(
-
Good. I haven't forgotten how he cheated using that dodgy silencer.
-
No we haven't, Ged was still found guilty and fined. Just that the level of the penalty now fits the crime and it's not the nuclear option we had before
-
A couple of possible ways to go .... Hans Andersen 10.07 Todd Kurtz 5.23 Nike Lunna 5.90 Michael Palm Toft 6.77 Ulrich Ostergaard 7.12 Simon Lambert 4.56 Jack Smith 2.57 42.22 or Scott Nicholls 9.72 Mason Campton 5.73 Nike Lunna 5.90 Michael Palm Toft 6.77 Ulrich Ostergaard 7.12 Simon Lambert 4.56 Jack Smith 2.57 42.37
-
Reading on other threads that the 6 pt rule has been dropped. If that is correct and assuming a conversion factor of 1.3 who would Panthers fans prefer? Hans Andersen 10.07 Scott Nicholls 9.72 or someone else?
-
Perhaps if it comes to a vote he'll ask Ged for advice? ;-)
-
Maybe ,,,, but Pboro Worky Redcar Newcastle and Berwick are hardly like to be big draws on their travels if/when they build teams to under 40 ,,,,, which could quite easily happen, Not good for business
-
At the time I write this I think there's still 18 heat-leader slots to be filled. Three more slots than last year are needed because of the extra team and the pool of riders to chose from is diminishing due to more and more of them having Polish commitments. There isn't a chance in hell of all those slots being filled and I also doubt whether there's enough riders around to build all 11 teams close to 42,5 Surely the BSPA must have a rethink about the 6.00 rule and allow riders who want to double down (eg Andersen/Nicholls) to do so.
-
Hmmm ,,, just seen that Thomsen has signed for Gdansk so back to the drawing board :-(
-
How about Anders Thomsen 8.29 and Tom Bacon 2.67 which would leave 7.19 for the final place. Maybe Ty Proctor (7.15) ? 1 Anders Thomsen 2 Nike Lunna 3 Michael Palm Toft 4 Ulrich Ostergaard 5 Ty Proctor 6 Simon Lambert 7 Tom Bacon
-
Well most people think Ulrich and Simon are certainties so adding them to Kenneth and Tom how about this for a solid team which should be very very strong at home? 1 Jack Holder 7.17 2 Ulrich Ostergaard 7.14 3 Kenneth Hansen 6.74 4 Paul Starke 6.62 5 Simon Lambert 5.26 6 Cameron Heeps 5.07 7 Tom Bacon 2.00 ==== 40,00
-
4 probables and 3 on the wish list 1 Brady Kurtz 7.65 2 Rory Schlein 7.17 3 Ulrich Ostergard 7.14 4 Kenneth Hansen 6.74 5 Nicholai Klint 5.42 6 Tom Perry 3.76 7 Danny Phillips 2.00 39.88

Well he's made well over 7000 posts. Even if 99% are totally crap (giving him the benefit of the doubt here suggesting only 99%) it still means that he may have fluked reasonable posts on around 70 occasions. Is he Ged ?? No way .....
-
Hmmm ... the averages I'm looking at ..... http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/el16_issue_final_3.pdf ...... show Brady on 6.44 which converts to a team building average of 9.02 I think

Peterborough Panthers 2016

Krzysztof Kasprzak averaged 51.48 mph when he set the track record in 2010 - not bad from a standing start ! IIRC a few years ago they used a speed-gun to clock riders doing over 60 mph in the home straight
