  1. he rode for Russia in the SON in 2018/19/20. He's Russian
  2. I suggest you read this https://www.fullnoise.com.au/fullnoise-news/fim-suspends-russian-and-belarusian-motorcycle-competitors-and-competitions/ Note this part…. "The FIM Board of Directors unanimously recommends to all Affiliated Members and Continental Unions to apply these measures at the national and continental levels." The situation with him in Poland is slightly different because he is a Polish citizen and rides and a Polish licence. Our government have made it clear that no Russian sportsmen are welcome in this country at the moment, tennis players at Wimbledon, for example.
  3. I suppose it it depends on your definition of red tape. The Collins English dictionary defines red tape as "official rules and procedures as red tape that seem unnecessary and cause delay." Are you saying that the FIM ban on Sayfutdinov is unnecessary? I would suggest that the bans howing support for the Ukraine (and also our governments viewpoint on Russian sportsmen) could be considered rather more than just red tape.
  4. Combining what Gasser90 and Flappy have been saying fairly consistently, it seems that six of our riders might be as follows…. Niels-Kristian Iversen 7.59 Chris Holder 7.16 Benjamin Basso 6.81 Ben Cook 4.06 Hans Andersen 4.93 Jordan Jenkins RS .... and that leaves 8.45 for the final rider. Assuming that is correct for the moment I very much doubt whether either Worrall or Tungate is the missing rider as that would leave us to far under the limit to make any sense. Much more likely to be either Rasmus Jensen or someone who hasn't raced over here so far, coming in on an 8.00 assessed average.
  5. 100 % in agreement….There are riders out there
  6. That's easy, offer to set it up for him in exchange for a two or three-year contract
  7. It's fun spending somebody else's money……. Patryk Dudek 8.00 Hans Andersen 4.93 Michael Jepsen Jensen 6.52 Ben Basso 6.81 Rasmus Jensen 7.86 Ben Cook 4.06 38.18 RS - Jordan Jenkins …… although even with that team somebody would complain that it is 0.82 under the limit!
  8. What is this obsession with just recycling riders that rode in the Premiership last year? There are still plenty of other options who may be persuaded to race in the UK, if the price is right. For instance, Rasmus Jensen and Michael Jepson Jensen are not in the GPs this year and are well up to heat leader class over here. Kenneth Bjerre might even be persuaded to change his mind and return. Perhaps a more expensive option but it's not out of the question that one of the top Poles could be enticed to the UK. There are plenty of options still around, dependent on the amount of extra funding we might now have. Does anybody know whether Michael Jepson Jensen would come in on his old average of around 6.5 or would he be reassessed at 8.0?
  9. Buster may still be the owner in name, but it's Tomalin funding/running the show.
  10. not if we have 10.35 left they aren't assuming my calculations are correct Hans Andersen 4.93 Niels Kristian Iversen 7.59 Ben Basso 6.81 Richie Worrall 6.31 Ben Cook 4.06 AN Other 9.30 RS - Jordan Jenkins Sorry, I do not believe that our new co-promoter, who is also hoping to become the owner in the future, would inject a large amount of cash into the team via sponsorship without making sure it's at least competitive. Based on his well-documented business dealings he has a lot more sense than that.
  11. Rasmus Jensen 7.86 Hans Andersen 4.93 Niels Kristian Iversen 7.59 Ben Basso 6.81 Kenneth Bjerre 7.75 Ben Cook 4.06 39.00 RS - Jordan Jenkins
  12. I have done! I see nothing about any other signings, or possible signings, or even hints of possible signings on the OFFICIAL Facebook and Twitter pages. As I said in my previous post everything else is just rumours or guesses, unfortunately.
  13. Our "management" haven't said ANYTHING all winter, apart from announce the signings of Basso, Cook and Jenkins. Any other riders linked with us are somewhere between informed rumours and pure guesses.
  14. Rasmus Jensen 7.86 Hans Andersen 4.93 Niels-Kristian Iversen 7.58 Benjamin Basso 6.81 Chris Holder 7.16 Ben Cook 4.06 38.40 Jordan Jenkins (RS)
  15. Unless I have missed something I’ve only found one relevant statement on the Panthers website and I think you are making 2 plus 2 equal five, the same as people were doing with Tom Brennan’s post a few weeks ago. “MPT is heading back to the Adrian Flux Arena in 2023 after two years with the Panthers in the Premiership, during which time he was part of the title-winning side in 2021. He had also spent previous spells at the Showground in 2015-16 and 2018, although he suffered a badly injury-hit campaign this year. Elsewhere from the team who triumphed last year, skipper Scott Nicholls has confirmed he will not be signing for a Premiership club next season; and Chris Harris, after a superb 2022 campaign has headed to newcomers Leicester. The retirement of Ulrich Ostergaard was confirmed in October, whilst Jordan Palin is taking a year out as he recovers from a serious head injury. The contribution of all of our riders to the 'Dad's Army' success of 2021 will always be remembered fondly. I think all that is doing is saying goodbye to the “Dad’s Army” team of 2021 who have officially been announced elsewhere as not riding for the Panthers this season, leaving the club, retiring, or taking a year out injured. As there has been no news yet about Hans Andersen there was no need to mention him in that posting. It certainly doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to be in our team next season, and indeed the points available left to us (assuming Flappy is correct) strongly suggests that he won’t be with us. I’m sure that when his departure becomes official the club will wish him a fond farewell as well, a Panthers legend IMO
  16. Actually you did say he is at Peterborough! Agree.
  17. Why do you think it won't happen? I agree that no way would motorsport be allowed at the old dog track site because it is too near residential areas but that's not the site people are talking about, it's only 7 acres maximum including the old car park area and the new site is supposed to be 21 acres. That would mean it would have to be further east on currently undeveloped land either between the rugby club pitches and the power station or between the power station and Flag Fen. Neither of those have any residential areas close by, only light industry, so gaining planning permission for a motorsport venue is entirely possible as long as access issues can be sorted.
  18. A very good Sir Humphrey impression 10/10
  19. Er ..... not quite !! Bet365 current odds (07/03/2020) 2/1 Belle Vue 7/2 Peterborough 7/2 Swindon 6/1 Kings Lynn 7/1 Wolverhampton 12/1 Sheffield 20/1 Ipswich
  20. If my calculations are correct we have 4.92 for the final place (reductions for Harris and Nicholls) ............. Iversen 7.54 Tungate 6.59 Palm Toft 6.30 Harris 6.00 Andersen 5.79 Nicholls 5.36 AN Other 4.92 TOTAL 42.50 ........... so Summers on 4.87 would fit.
