  1. Great ride by Kurtz in the only race of the afternoon. The rest was a complete waste of an hour an a half in the house rather than being in the sunshine in the Garden. Total borefest that Tatum and Louis were wise to avoid. WBD really are dimwits.
  2. You have the opportunity to whet people's appetite for the SGP. And they put this drivel out to the world.
  3. Can It really be true? Times being measured to one thousandsth of a second, transponders etc etc. etc. And Phil Morris is working it out on the back of a fag packet. Live on TV.
  4. Speedway enters the 21st Century. 25 years behind the rest of society. That sounds about right.
  5. I actually think she has improved a lot and is quite good now.
  6. I think it was probably about 3 people more than last year. Perhaps 4. But they spread themselves around better.
  7. No the Starting gate is shown in the same place as always.
  8. No where near. Absolute maximum of 25k; probably a lot less than 20K paying full price.
  9. I love Birmingham giving their percentage chances of running in 2024. If they start the year in a reduced Premiership I would give them a 30% chance of completing their fixtures.
  10. Certainly made the right choice with watching BSN last night … soooo much better than Eurosport in every aspect.
  11. That was always my understanding too. Tsunami will know
  12. My memory, in Anders case, was that he was to change into clean kevlars in the pits prior to the podium presentation. But having removed the dirty ones found his clean kevlars had already been already taken out to the centre of the track by someone. He then went out on his bike in his undercrackers and suited up on the back of the podium. There may be variatiions on this. I don't think any of that spolied the series sponsors 'exposure'.
  13. Yes he only rode about three matches and didn't set the world alight with his scoring but did look real class. Blooded into probably the last Tyne-Tees Trophy that really seemed to matter with the Diamonds rolling over the Bears easily. 1991 and 1992 were special times. And I always thought that Richard Bailey was a very underrated Promoter.
  14. Clue No 1: This track had a league side for many post war years up to the seventies.
